Where Are You Shopping Today?

Wow, Sandy, I haven't seen anything like that on the apps I have. I hope it works out for you!

The app shop and the post office $24 charge for my box were two different shops. Not sure I was clear on that. I looked at the posted approvals for reimbursement for the p.o. this am and one said $14 approved, the other had $0 approved (the reimbursement part). I had turned them both in at the same time. But later today it said $22 was approved. Not sure if that will change again but If I get at least $22 or the $24+ back I will be relieved and know never to do that shop again. No wonder no one else had taken it!!!
The app shop was for Shake Shack. I installed the app and spent a long time figuring out how to change my order. In the meantime the order timed out but my order was still there. I must have brushed no cheese on my burger with my finger by mistake and it took a long while to figure out how to get the cheese back for my cheeseburger but I finally did it. The new location that just opened near me has kiosks, apps, online orders, the works. Almost no one actually walked up to the counter to order from a human while I was there but the kiosks were very popular. The human up there was bored to death and greeting everyone who walked by just to relieve his boring job with nothing to do. The future is here.

Sandy,
Ahhh Shake Shack! Love them but don't have any nearby. I was trying not to laugh at your hardship of messing with the app but you reminded me of my bf who has the latest iphone but all he does on it is text, call, listen to music and thanks to me, watches animal videos lol.
We just had a re-grand opening for McD's and everyone is complaining about the kiosks. I don't like ordering through kiosks and I always bring my stylus if I have to do a shop with one. Those things are gross.

I'm also doing Shake Shack tonight and its my first app order for them. The report seems to be shorter than the regular shop so looking forward to it.

Yes, the report is shorter. I asked for a sample pic three or four times but never got one so I sent several not knowing exactly what they want. Also I had to insert the wrong time to get the form to accept it.

Today was a gas station.

Tomorrow is a bank, an appliance shop and a burger joint.

One little shop that is conveniently located between errands. Tomorrow: three well-spaced shops (hubby drives while I report the basics of each shop immediately after leaving the locations).

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Email your scheduler. You should be able to get the full amount due, unless it was zone 6 or higher.
If it's zone 5, your scheduler will make sure it gets properly adjusted. Just tell her that it was adjusted but only to $22, though your receipt showed $24.

Today I did 13 convenience store shops, a Dunkin Donut shop, 2 post offices, and 2 Sam's Club light merchandising visits. It was a long day and I just got home, but I am so thankful all was able to be done on my phone and I have 0 reports to do!
I know you were probably not referring to 99 cents stores Jas as they are only on the west coast but my local one spectacularly burned down last night. I cannot imagine 13 stores in one day!
Today I did an airport shop grouping but several of the target types of people were not there. Bummer, lots of traffic for only a few shops.
Oh, not .99 cents stores, no. We do have Dollar Tree but they are not shopped here. The convenience stores are super easy, less than 5 minutes in and 5 minutes to report on the app. They are all over the place and I can do 4-5 in an hour most of the time. And I only drove about 30 miles round trip to do all of that!
99 cent stores here are with a msc that asks you to write a novel about a 5 second interaction and then asks the same with different wording over and over. So I don't do them but I am tempted to take this one from now on after I look to see what the go fee is as it will probably still be on the website for years. It burned completely down with 45 firemen and women trying to put it out of it's misery. Fortunately it was in the middle of the night. Not even a small thread left to have a "fire sale."

I literally told the scheduler who called me to do this last year,
“I have not forgotten how crappy the report is yet.”

There is no way I’d do another for less than $50. The report is repetitive and ridiculous. The way they have it structured, there’s no way to do it faster.
sandyf, where was the store that burned down? What happened?

Today is 3 meter reads, Sonic and a cell phone.

Yes one mystery shop a day is a good strategy to stay fresh and keep your edge and continue to do high quality work.
Two of three planned shops. (Early job was late; tire was flat and I am at the tire place now instead of halfway to shops; and one shop has a generous deadline.)

Today was 4 gas stations, one was under construction. I also had a Sonic.

Tomorrow is 4 cell shops.

I did 4 convenience store shops, got my pedicure, and packed for my trip. Drinking wine!
I'm being paid a travel bonus to go to a little town 30 minutes up the road to do an easy convenience store shop. I'm bringing my family (who will wait in the vehicle while I complete the quick shop) then we will have a picnic dinner and swim at a local swinging bridge. Basically the shop will pay for our little family outing. Looking forward to it!
Today did my phone part of a pickup job taking large stuff from your house. Phone call was extremely long and Appt. set for Friday afternoon. Hope their not too expensive, as I will use them for my move.
I heard on the news about the Culver City .99 store that burned to the ground. We have a good one in my town, don't know if their shopped, but I go twice a week, and have found great stuff like my Vit.D3, melatonin, batteries, found wonderful French small bowls all still .99, but see many things now 1.99 and 2.99...seems inflation found them.

Live consciously....
