Where Are You Shopping Today?

Two Looks that went bust. The first location was at an auto body shop that moved 10 years ago. The second, the car was not there. $100 down the drain.

Well.......I was planning on doing some of those cinnamon jobs.....but since selecting my 10 sites on Friday, the entire job has disappeared from the MSC's website, and has not returned yet, as of 10:45 am Eastern on Monday, March 11! Oh well!
I've been checking eagerly for the cinnamon jobs, but haven't seen them show up at all yet.
I usually work about 5 shops a day. These are banks, credit unions, grocery and electronic shops. I really need to cut down on the number of shops that I work. I am 71 and tired. I am retired from the medical field but still mystery shopped for over 25 years. Due to the economy and being on a pension, I have had to go back to mystery shopping. I have been told to slow down. What do you do when you need the money to pay bills but are exhausted from working 6 days a week?

Have you noticed how many more elderly people are working in all the grocery, department and hardware stores? They say that hundreds of thousands of jobs were filled in the U.S. this last month. I wonder how many were older people that had to go back to work.

I feel sorry for all us. It takes jobs away from younger people and would mean more mystery shops for you. But we have bills to pay even though we would prefer not to work.

I shopped a WeWa today (that's what I call it) smiling smiley

I retired in my early 50's and I'm thankful I grasped the basic principles of compounding. I gave my job to a younger person. My GIFT! I learned in my 20's to save for my future and took every opportunity to do so and lived UNDER my means. I firmly believe every student in HS should be taught personal finance.
Financial shop. Easy pocket money for 40 minutes total time expended. No transportation costs either :-).
Product recall verification, 2 bank platform shops

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Today I relaxed. Caught up on my excel sheet, but no shops completed today. Maverick1 I agree, live under your means and save. I have family who should be retired (early 70's) but can't afford to live because of a lifetime of poor financial choices. I refuse to set myself up for failure. I work when I don't **have** to so that when I can't I know I won't have to.

Did two bonused grocery shops yesterday......eclipse day. Everyone must've stayed home to watch the eclipse, because both stores were virtually empty!!! The first store had 11 customers, including myself, and the second had six!! These were both done during the timing of the eclipse. Our area had 80-85% totality, but honestly, it NEVER got that dark or anything! So I was surprised the stores were so empty!
