What do you buy with the $1 product reimbursement for the required inside purchase at a gas station?

I've gotten over feeling awkward asking for a receipt for a $1.00 purchase years ago. I very seldom get any push-back from the the CSR, even those who do not recognize me from a previous visit. And if that blows my cover, so be it, I present the LOA shortly after that in any case.

Did one of those shops today, I bought an area newspaper that we don't subscribe to. It was a dollar for the daily paper.

My favorite is either a small bag of seeds 2/$1.00 or a small bag of peanuts. Either is a nice treat on your way to your next shop winking smiley

If you feel uncomfortable asking for a receipt on a shop, always ask for a receipt every time you conduct a transaction. Once it is a habit, you won't care anymore.

Agree whole heartily with this advice. It took awhile for me to establish the habit but now it has become second nature.

Depends on the day and what I need. Because of living in TX, I always have water in the car. A $1 off Ozarka is a great deal whether I buy a case or an individual bottle. If I'm on one of my routes & I know I have time for grocery deals, I buy ice. The price of ice makes me nutso and my counter top ice maker bit the dust. My freeze ice maker is subpar and can't keep up.

There are days when I need OJ, the $1 off makes a half gallon around $2.20.

Never thought about the individual packets of Tylenol, etc. Thank you Lisa, that is permanently embedded into my old lady brain. I always need that stuff.

I rarely drink soft drinks but paying less than a dollar for any of them when I need an immediate sugar boost comes in handy.

Once in awhile I'll buy a prepared sandwich because those are over the top for price.

Arnold Palmer Zero Ice Tea Lemonade. 99 cents. Addicted. My garage is half full of them.
It all depends.
If it I'm doing morning shops, its usually coffee, a donut, and maybe fruit. Closer to noon, it could be water, a can of soda, a bag of chips. Midafternoon it would be snacks like an apple or banana, nuts, crackers, water or maybe a fountain drink. Late afternoon and evening it might be water or some other snack like cookies or crackers.

Everything I've described runs around 99 cents (before tax).

If I'm being a bit crazy, it might be a prophylactic. Hehe

I call it a "snack" in the description.

The person at the counter always seems to be a bit incredulous when I ask for the receipt..
Peanuts which are .59 each, small pack of gum for .35 cents. Bottle of water is usually less than one dollar.
