Can anyone explain sassie?

I just registered with a MSC that uses sassie but I can't figure out how to use it. A scheduler will email me about a shop available in my area, I'll sign on to sassie and it says there is nothing available in my area. It's not that others are taking them before I sign on, Sometimes I'll have my email open when the scheduler sends the email, I click on the link immediately but am told there is nothing in my area.

You can widen your search radius. Or you can click on classic job board and search by state. That is available only on the desktop view.
Sounds like in the split second before you clicked on the link, another shopper in your area took the shop. It's happened to me before. You can check job boards frequently and maybe see posted jobs before the emails go out. I do that sometimes.
Those emails are automated and sometimes are sent hours or days after the shops are posted.

That's a better explanation than mine. However, when the emails are sent, if I am at my computer when the email comes in, I often am the first to see the shop and accept it (I generally have self-assign privileges with most Sassie companies).
Do you mean you are often the first person to both see the shop and accept it or you're often the first person to see the shop and the first person to accept it? It sounds like you're saying the latter but I would guess you mean the former as there is no way of know if you are the first person to see the shop.

Recently I was assigned a group of shops by a scheduler. A few days later I woke up to an email from the scheduler stating she had just posted a few more similar shops not far from my original group and to let her know if I wanted them and she would assign me to them. I logged on, saw the shops, sent her an email requesting all of them, was assigned the shops and several hours later got the email they had been posted.

Okay, so I am the first person to see the shop that wanted it and had self-assign privileges. Better?
In some cases you may also not be eligible for certain shops. But the automated system is just going to mail it out anyway if it's in your radius.
For example, as a new shopper your shopper rating is almost always automatically 5. Some shops may require only a shopper with a rating of 8 or higher.
The automated system just mails out the shops, it doesn't know if you're eligible or not.
But the more likely answer is above, even if you just got the email, some shops go quick, and savvy shoppers know how to get them first.

Thanks everyone, that makes sense. I was thinking it was something I was doing wrong trying to figure out sassie. I didn't think it should be too hard to use but couldn't seem to figure it out.
After I sent my initial response I also wanted to check something.
This may sound like a dumb question, but when you get the emails are you clicking on the job links in the email? Or do you just go directly to the MSC or Sassie and log on and search for jobs?
I ask for 2 reasons:
1. A few companies who use Sassie don't always show the jobs through their main login/Sassie page. But if you click the link it's there. (Same thing could happen if you click the link and aren't logged on to the MSC, then try to log on.)
and 2. (less likely but possible) If You are going to a Sassie link you have saved, it is possible you are logging into the wrong MSC. A lot of companies use Sassie, and it isn't a one link fits all.

Hope this makes sense, and hope something helps.
Frequently, when an email hits, it's too late. Other shoppers have already logged on to the MSC's job board. Shops are posted there prior to email blasts.

Watch the boards, note shop release dates, be perched at your computer, and request/self-assign.
Specific MSCs, whether users of the Sassie platform, or not. Intellishop, Marketforce, Bare, Second to None, Maritz, whoever. Across the board, with self-assigns, it is first come, first served.
I'm new to the "sign up with 100 MSC" cha cha (and have signed up w/8 new for a total of 10. Sassie frequently doesn't have the same shops I can find on a MSC's own job board. In my area, the Sassie shops look the same day after day. Sort of by chance, I logged onto a company tonight, clicked on their job board and snapped up two shops that SHOULD'VE been on Sassie, and one of them was bonused!
You are confusing me, kryswyn. Sassie is a reporting platform used by different MSCs but each has their own Sassie site with individual job boards. Their MSCs job boards are on a Sassie website that each uses separately from others.
Textthinker I click the link in the email and I'm only registered with one company that uses Sassie so I couldn't be signing on with the wrong company. It must be like everyone's been saying I'm either not eligible for those specific shops or someone gets them before my email shows up.

So you are really accessing the company you are signed up with, not a generic Sassie website. The companies use the Sassie platform,. When each company sends an email with links, and you click a link, you are actually going straight to that company's scheduling. It sounds as though you are getting there too late and the specific shops in your area are already scheduled.
kryswyn916, are you referring to Presto maps? That app shows shops for companies on the Sassie platform, and I've noticed it is sometimes out of sync with the MSC's job board are far as availability and bonuses.
