Is there anything I can do if the reason the company is not paying me is because they gave me the wrong form to complete?

Especially if you said it out loud they might think you said "Janice Face" and that would really confuse them.

I had a similar but different situation. The scheduler gave me the wrong scenario. This scenario was verified by a QA person who reviewed it with me. I did the shop and had no recourse. I wasn't paid even though the error was on their end.

Well yes, I would of course say it out loud, LOL, and I that's why I said I didn't think they would know what I was talking about.
I have done a handful of shops for CSA. I have always found them friendly and appreciative. That said, I have not done any work for them since they changed schedulers for my area and the bonuses have dried up.

Without address the issues already raised in this thread, let me also point out - perhaps only for the benefit of others - the importance of time zones. When instructions indicate a specific time be sure to know if the time specified is the MSCs time or the local time at the shop location. With CSA, the difference can be significant. They are in Hawaii and have shops on the east coast. This is a great set of tools for figuring out times: [www.timeanddate.com]
I'm not questioning you, but that makes no sense. Why wouldn't it be local time? I wouldn't want to do any jobs for an MSC that pulled that on me.

My experience is the times to shop are always listed as the time zone for the business so the time zone for the shopper. OTOH, some MSCs report deadlines are based on their time zone although it seems they are in the minority.

Now, *that* makes sense.
I once did a phone shop for Whole Foods. It specified to call within a certain time period. Ok, done that. I did a handful of them. The editor rejected my one report saying I performed the shop after the required times. My time zone is pacific time. MS's time zone was the east coast. Recorded phone call was stamped on east coast time. Editor stood their ground. I emailed the scheduler about the situation. The scheduler went to bat for me and explained that my shop was performed during the required times. Editor did not understand that other time zones were possible.
Doesn't it seem logical if one is working with shoppers all across the country they understand something as basic as time zones? Good grief.

Not always, but frequently people with good language skills (editors) don't necessarily have good math skills or understand time zones. And it's amazing how many young people who have never left their state don't consider that someone on the West Coast might be in a different time zone. When my husband and I went to AZ and CA for a few weeks about a decade ago and his kids were still teenagers, we got phone calls at 5 a.m. from one or another of them because they didn't think about the fact that we were in a different time zone, LOL. One of them said she knew we were in a different time but she thought it was later in CA than it was in OH!!!!!
