Regal Theater Shops

If you do these, you are not allowed to use your Royal Crown Club card. When you get your tickets back, there is a claim code that you can use to get credits within 7 days. What would the consequences of this be?

I wouldn't even want to try to find out the consequence! It might jeopardize the shopper status, ability to complete future shops, and reimbursement.

MSPA Gold Certified 2003
When a mystery shopper accepts a shop, he agrees to do the shop according to the guidelines the customer provides. If he can't, he should not take the shop. If the shopper forgets and uses his Crown Club Card, the shop is not accepted and the shopper is not paid. If the shopper activates the points after the fact, the consequences could probably include non-payment and might be labeled fraud by the MSC. That would likely mean deactivation.

When I go to the Regal theaters on my own dime, I do what I want. When I am working, I follow the client's rules.
If caught, you may lose your ability to work with the mystery shopping company again and may be blacklisted. Of course, do whatever you want.

I've not tried it and don't intend to, but I hate that I could be racking up so many points!
Thanks for the replies. I'm not going to accrue the points, but I really do wish that it was acceptable. I like that when I do shops at other places (I can think of 2 pizza joints offhand), that I am permitted to earn points toward free pizzas. Oh, well! At least we got to watch the new Thor movie last night. It was awesome! Too bad the concessions reimbursement doesn't cover the large popcorn combo. Still, being out-of-pocket $2 and some change on a date night (other than our non-mystery-shop meal) isn't too bad. smiling smiley
Only thing the Regal shops are good for these days are for the concessions reimbursement. Otherwise, MoviePass is currently the way to go unless they start allowing us to use debit/credit cards.

On my last shop I wasn't thinking when the gal asked for my phone number, to apply the purchase to my account. Duh. I fretted bullets figuring my report would be rejected. It was not and I was paid in full. I would not do this on purpose though.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
FYI you can enter the codes once you get home. Just don't hand anyone in the theater your card. I've asked the MSC this question and they told me it was fine once you're home.
