Rescheduling a shop

What do you do when you have an emergency come up and can’t complete a shop on a day you picked? There was a self-assign restaurant shop with a $100 reimbursement that I signed up for, that I was planning on completing last night. Unfortunately I had a family emergency come up, and I had to leave the town in which the restaurant is located. I was planning on completing 3 shops in that town, which is about an hour away from where I live. I emailed the scheduler asking if I could complete the shop tonight instead, but have not heard back. The due date of this round of shops is November 11. Even though it is super inconvenient to go back to complete this shop tonight, I am willing to do it since I committed to it. I just don’t want the shop to not count, since it is not the day I originally picked.
So I’m wondering what the best course of action is, if I don’t hear back from the scheduler before dinner tonight. Should I go complete the shop tonight and hope it is approved? The company is Consumer Confidential, if that makes a difference.

I recently had the same thing happen, my garage door wouldn't open. I had ordered the dinner to go, had to cancell it and immediately wrote the scheduler explaining what happened. I literally couldn't get out of the garage and couldn't get it fixed till Monday. They rescheduled for next day. Life happens, if you have good standing with the company, it should be forgiven but you did lose the 100.00

Live consciously....
When it comes to not being able to complete the shop or something comes up, it is so important to communicate with the scheduler. Most of the time, they will work with you and your situation
I am so glad that worked out for you!!! It's a good thing you didn't do it without getting confirmation, though, just in case the date didn't work for some reason.
