I did that yesterday I was so sick of them. I think they're getting desperate, but not desperate enough to make it worthwhile.

I have never, ever liked the taste of Jack in the Box burgers. I remember when you had to order two greasy tacos in the drive thru, after you left from the dine in portion. Awful tasting. tongue sticking out smiley

I counted 7 emails within a half hour from 3 different schedulers, some with the amazing $2 fee and some with no fee. I am sorry but no, I do not want a greasy Jumbo Jack for breakfast....I have to be REALLY hungover for that to occur, and even that is stretching it
I like their tacos, but the requirements for this shop (including the 60 minute window) mean that it should pay 10x that -- and not 10x zero. There are only a few taken in my whole state. I do feel sorry for the scheduler, getting stuck with such a lemon. Not sorry enough to lose money on the shop, though.

Too much work for a crappy burger. Now if there was a fee attached, say $10, I would do them but not for free.
What's wrong with you all? I did a route of 43 of the se on Sunday. I spent all day listening to football on my car radio and eating burgers. I've now tried everything on their menu. It was great! I only gained 15 pounds and figure that my net gain on earnings was -$45 as I did have to fill my gas tank a few times. Talk about a day well-spent!

Or not.

Same here. Multiple emails from three different schedulers. I was tempted to disable email notifications from this company just because of the torrent of emails, but I do want to know about a couple of their other shops, so I'll put up with it for now.

I do feel sorry for the schedulers though. and I'm sure they realize what a "ten-foot-pole" this shop is, but they have to do their job too. Unfortunately for them, almost no one in this town is taking the shops.
If they need them done so bad, they should actually PAY for them to be done! We do not work for free!
Some do work for free, or heart trouble...never had a Jack in the box...very proud of that...smiling smiley Favorite FF include,
Carl's Jr., Inn@Out, the Habit, meat from Mexico, not a fan...sad smiley

We have a special burger place ( Rustic Burger), not a chain, that puts them all to shame, got me very spoiled, of course not shopped and burgers are $13.00+ but, the best, with the buns homemade and a choice, I want one now!

Is that in So Cal? If so, I need to check that out! You're making me want one now LOL
yes, but only in my town (so far)....where do you live? I'm in Valencia near 6 flags....we've been getting so many chain restaurants here, it's great to get this.

I like Jack better than most of the others myself, so I took a few of these. Figured hey, free lunch right? I’d probably spend the money anyway, and they’ve gotten VERY expensive the last few years.

Thing is, it’s a bit more complex than they make it seem — and also they want you to ‘make a small purchase’ in the drive through but only reimburse for the receipt from inside.

I’m also surprised, considering how “mobile friendly” they say the submission form is, that they didn’t use Presto Insta-Shops for it... that would have made entry so much faster! This very much seems like more of an “app” type project, and trying to do everything in a little browser window on my phone is rediculous.
So the shop is even worse than the description and the frantic, deceptive emails continue.

Maybe that is what the $2 fee is supposed to cover LOL

Seriously though, that was what I was concerned about when they were pushing at how "easy" it is, with photo requirements and 60 minute deadline, I can also see how much of a pain it would be to submit using the browser on your phone, no thank you.
Agreed... I have a feeling the MSC got it because of how cheap they offered it to the client... This screams to be a FA or GW job... but even so, the MSC uses Sassie which has the Presto Insta-Shop app — which is *exactly* for jobs that are exactly like this... which they are not... so I’m assuming they charged so little the couldn’t afford to use the app for this (I’m sure it’s not free to use the app).

That said, I usually only do a few jobs for this MSC because their starting prices are so low and they hang onto them for a long time... that said, once a deadline gets really close and they haven’t filled them, I’ve gotten some awesome bonuses.... so I wonder if this will happen where it shoots from 2 to 5 to 10 and up and up until they are done. Thy started out free last week.
Sadly JITB as gone pretty far downhill in every way possible in recent years. This is one of the few companies that had an internal MS program back when I started, and paid decently, including travel and all expenses for food. They have spent the past 10 years moving between different MSC's and apparently trying to find a way to perform shops cheaper.

The location by me actually had two guests stabbed earlier this year (the joys of working in Hollywood!) and the suspect was shot dead during lunch hour, so pretty much every one I know avoids that place and I can't imagine taking paid assignment there, much less a reimbursement only! You can die from eating the burgers, get stabbed by other guests, get shot by the police and somehow this restaurant stays in business...
My new favorite FF burger place is Freddie's. I discovered them while MSing. Great burgers and sundaes too. A little on the expensive side but worth it. smiling smiley

Jeez Steve, that's a whole other definition of a "ten foot pole" shop!!

Sassy I love Freddie's too!! Haven't tried their sundaes....yet
OK, this is ridiculous! I see a minimum of 12 emails just today about these shops! STOP THE MADNESS!
