That they do. I average $23 shop pay plus reimbursement. I routinely bring home $45 shop pay for the one in my neighborhood which is walking distance for me. They call, offer and I accept.
Its the most loved & despised mystery shopping company on here. The fees for 5 guys depends on who makes the calls. I was offered last year $25 to do the shop & this year the most was $15. We shopped it last night due to an email offering $17. I grabbed it because i was already shopping that city for another company
I find it hard to believe that anyone could routinely still get $45 to do this shop now a day. It is challenging enough to try to get them to pay $25 for the shop. The most I got for this shop was $40 and that was for a late dinner shop during the Holidays for a location 60 miles round trip.
I am not surprised if someone gets that much at all. The MSC has been known to be generous with bonuses, and certain areas have hard-to-fill shops. Some parts of the country never get bonused shops because there are a lot of shoppers in that area that will take them for the base pay. In my area, some months of the year we have a bunch of new shoppers taking them for low pay who quickly get burned out or exceed their quota, and then I get the nice bonuses again.

I get a minimum of $25. Sometimes I get $30 for this one particular location. I've gotten $35 before so $10 dollars isn't a big deal.
$10 dollars is a "big deal" for this MSC now - just read the other threads about this MSC. I do still get $25 for the shop - and at times more if the location is further away - but not as often as I used to. Anyway, one definitely would not routinely get $45 to do this shop especially if the location is within walking distance. They know how far you live from the shop and use that reason when negotiating with you on the shop fee.
I never do Five Guys shops that are further than 12-15 miles away and if they need the shop done, they will bonus it appropriately. It doesn't matter how far away it is if they can't find anyone else to take it last minute.
You are making the mistake of basing your belief on just the area where you live. It is common knowledge location makes all the difference in this business. Timing is just as important. I don't give a rat's patoot if the location is within walking distance. If you need a job done right now, you need to pay me what I want. End of story. Keep in mind, they may know where you live, but they do not know where you are

All good. No reason to make things up. Would you like me to post a screen shot of the a few shops where I received this amount?
This is an area that most shoppers do not like shopping. I also pick up the fast fired pizza shops in the same area for a nice bonus with another company.
Also, the same company that offers shops for Five Guys also offers grocery shops in the same area. They start with $0 shop fee, $10.50 reimbursement. There is a store also within walking distance that I routinely get $30 shop fee plus reimbursement.
The shop fee is based on several variables and I guess I happen to just get “lucky”.
There is a 5 Guys in Enid, OK which is about 85 miles north of me. I shop the location once a month for $80. There is a location in Lawton, OK that is about 75 miles south of me, and I shop it once or twice a month for $60 to $80 depending upon the daypart. I only do these locations as part of a route or if I happen to be in the area. (Lawton is on the way to my home town of Wichita Falls, TX and I have a lot of family there). I am almost always doing them on a Wednesday. (the weekly shops run thursday through wednesday, so wednesday is the last day--a hard deadline).
I have never done one of the many locations in Metro Oklahoma City which is only 60-70 miles from me because it is a struggle to even get $20 for a shop fee--due to the abundance of shoppers in the area. Obviously its all about location.

And I shop within a 20 mile radius of my home. All the 5 guys shops I do are within 3 miles from home. Takes less than 30 mins round trip. Did one yesterday for dinner 1.2 miles from home took me 10 mins round trip got paid $25.

$6.00 usually where I am, but I will take it occasionally when it goes up to $8.00. I have seen it once in 6 months go up to $10.00. I only have three locations near me, so I guess it's supply and demand.

Yeah, I only do them about 6-10 times a year because there are other people who will do them for the base fee. I won't.
I used to regularly get $18 to $25 for these shops (the larger amount for shops farther away), but those days are gone around here. Must be more shoppers in my area now, as shops don't sit long. I still get bonused shops, but maybe the highest is around $15 or $16. When I'm really craving Five Guys, I'll do one at base or take one for the "generous" $2 or $3 extra e-mail offers. Better to wait until they call, though.

Once they called me and offered me $14.00 to do the shop at the last minute after I said no thank you a few times. I ended up doing it for them. I assume that someone else must have backed out at the last minute.
Many of the 5 guys shops are weekly and run Thursday through Wednesday as their shopping window. Therefore, if they are calling you on a Tuesday or Wednesday and say that it has to be done that day, they are up against a hard deadline. Don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer that also pays well; there is a good chance they will accept it.

CAPURATO, so you are saying that the FG shop for which you received $45 was within walking distance of your other shop(s) and not from your home. I apologize if I offended you since my take on your comment was that the shop was within walking distance of your home. If this $45 shop was part of a route, then of course, such a fee is certainly feasible. You are indeed lucky to be able to take advantage of such an opportunity.
