What scanner do you use?

I'm thinking about getting a new scanner. My old scanner is quite outdated and it scans pretty slowly. What kind of scanners do you recommend that is fast and reasonably not expensive.

What are you scanning that you can't just take a picture of?

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I gave up using a scanner years ago. I use a free app on my IPhone and IPad called Genius Scan. After taking a photo of the receipt/document it converts it to a really good image that I can email myself or save as a document file (PDF or JPEG). I use Apple Photos to seemlessly transfer the the document to my PC.
So i shouldn't invest in a $300 scanner? I'm gonna save a lot of money, thanks pals.

Forgot to mention that the Genius Scan app does an auto crop and allows you to adjust it if necessary. I’m know there are many other apps that do the same. I’ve never missed my scanner.
I take pictures and upload into report.....I don't know what a scanner is, i scan pictures either from phone or camera.

Live consciously....
I use a scanner.I have a combo fax, scan, copy HP which works well altho the fax part does not work anymore. There are still some people who do not have a phone with a camera although I suppose I am probably going to get one someday soon. I hear Frontier who purchased Calif, Texas and Florida Verizon phone accounts is looking to sell them and the prediction is they might not find a buyer. Should that happen Frontier might go bankrupt and that might bring the end of home phones sooner which would force me to get a better cell phone.
I have a HP printer, scanner, copy, web and photo machine. It's wireless. I believe it cost me somewhere about $80ish. Staples or Office depot usually have sales.
My printer/scanner makes a poor image, but is still faster than taking a photo and downloading it. Great for business cards, but yesterday I scanned a receipt and had to end up photographing it anyway, because the scan just wouldn't capture the faint writing.

kenasch, thanks for the tip on Genius Scan; I'll have to try that.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

I use a very inexpensive Epson Printer/Scanner, works fine and it costs less than $50 at Wal Mart.
Like Kenasch I use a free app on my iPad, DocScanner. It can save the scan document in a variety of formats, crop etc, plus can put multiple pages into one document. Great for those product retrievals that have a plethora of pages. Also have an HP printer that scans but using my iPad is easier
Me too!

I would probably just upgrade to a laser printer that has a scanner included. That's what I have now, although I rarely use the scanner. It doesn't cost that much anymore, and the laser printer will save money on ink in the long run if you are currently using an inkjet.
I can not say enough about the scanner that I use. Fast, easy, auto into my lap top. NEAT
Keeps tract of tax deductible expenses, if needed.
Export receipt data to Quicken or QuickBooks.
Scan business cards and sync data with Outlook contacts.
Scan meeting notes and email.
Creates PDF files.
All pictures from my phone or camera automatically adjust the picture size, never have to edit.

Model Number NR-030108 I have updated this model, free.
I have the Mobile scanner, they also have the larger model, which scans several items and sorts at the same time automatically.
Cost $100. I'm sure it might be higher now, but worth every penny. Simple to install.
11" X 2 1/2 ".NeatReceipts. 1 USB cable.
Never in all these years have I had to change a picture for size.
For those choosing the printer/scanner/fax/photo desktop route wireless works well. You can network it to your other devices. Also I really like having a flatbed. It costs a few dollars more but I can print or scan or fax some very small receipts etc without first having to first put them on an 8.5x11 sheet. Also crumbled paper.. just place on the flatbed, smooth out with your hand and close the top on it. That is for unorganized people who stick their receipt in their pocket.
What tablet do you guys recommend? I'm getting back into mystery shopping so I can hit my goal of making an extra $10k and hit an income of 60k this year. I wanna invest in some tools so I'll be a professional like all you guys.
