Shops vary by MSC and the client. Must say though, I find them very easy. Definitely no timings. If you do one where you must get an accurate count of patrons, choose an early matinee. Fewer people to track going in and back out.
The Regal ones definitely require timing. You gave to time how long it takes to buy a ticket and hoe long it takes to get food. Most of the others I've done requite timing as well. The only one that hasn't has been AMC, but those are kinda weird.
Thanks. I read some require you go to each show and each theater auditorium showing movie. Do you use a clicker?
Wish I could find movie shops that didn't limit age from 21-35. Ugh.

Just out shopping around...
I found one where all I have to do is try to order alcohol. No customer counting or anything about the movie itself. I'm excited for this easy one.

Yeah my age puts me out of those. I wish i could do em.

It couldn't hurt to ask the scheduler. I've been able to do a few of those and I'm 36.

I think we might be getting a bit mixed up here. There are some assignments that are called open check where you do have to count everyone for all showings in a day. Those are totally different from theater assessments and I do not do those. For a regular theater assessment I try to go by the posted seating capacity and an educated guess. They usually aren't looking for an exact count, but you have to be close.
I did inform them and asked to be on back up if needed. Apparently my area has bunch of movie going 21- 35 yr olds lolol.
If it's CFA, don't worry about it. They will fire you for false claims. They're the best company to not get paid for doing a great job.
Cfa? They don't do theater evaluations. They do a bunch of other stuff at theaters, but not evaluations.
Actual theater evaluations where you watch a movie and grade the theater. CFA does trailer check and standees, mostly. They do have the occasional on-screen ad check where you watch a movie, but that's pretty rare.
Certified Field Associates. Trailer checks and standees.

Confero, HS Brand aka My Mystery Shop, and Service check have some as well, though those are movie theater evaluations.
