What drives you nuts on shop forms

Boy so many aggravations. Some I hadn't even thought of but if I ran across them they would definitely be on my list.

One more I need to add:

On SASSIE shops, when I get a grade and it is not 10/10 but something less............TELL ME WHAT I DID WRONG! Tell me so the next time I do that same shop I won't make the same mistake. But sometimes/frequently that does not happen so I will make the same mistake because you won't tell me what I did wrong so I can correct it.
What drives ME nuts on shop forms? See EPMS reports for an example. Talk about being redundant redundant.

Narratives which I have to explain why I would or would not recommend this location to my friends. For a restaurant, I might have recommended one once or twice in my lifetime, but when is the last time you called a friend and told them to check out a gas station?

And how did the employee make you feel? "I felt fine". Please explain. "OK. I had warm fuzzies crawling up my backside. What else would you like to know?"

I have never made any recommendation of any retail establishment to anyone. Indeed, I can't imagine anyone I know ever asking for a recommendation of a business establishment. I have recommended books, theatrical productions, museums, natural wonders, ruins and I have recommended instructors, students, and colleagues for future positions. If someone was new in town and asked for a recommendation for a XYZ business, I would say there is one called A over there, another called B that way, a joint called C on the other side of town. If I were further pressed and asked which one was good, I would say 'they are just places to spend money, what does it matter?'

When asked how did a restaurant made me feel my responses are along the lines of: nourished, fulfilled, ill, lethargic, nauseated, energized & etc.
I can't imagine, if asked, not recommending a restaurant to other people, at least if I know them. I've even told people that if they ever get to such and such a place they should go to such and such restaurant. I mean, Why not? I'm not afraid that they won't agree with my opinion of the place it's part of life. I recommend other things too that I've enjoyed. Again, Why not?

I have no problem sharing my opinion. My point is, I can't imagine being asked about something as trivial, in the broad scheme, as where to eat or shop.
The only thing that really, really bugs me is when ShopMetrics won't let me leave a blank answer box until I type something in, popping up those annoying alerts.
I can't find the correct thread, so I'll vent here. I did a pickup restaurants, very popular and discussed at length.
I drove 25 miles a I needed to do this at 2;00 when job started, saw the pick-up space pulled in and ordered. Timing was of the essence ,calling at 2:00, she said it would take 10 minutes, and I waited until 2:16 when it was delivered, and receipt given.. What did I do wrong, my job is rejected due to ordering from the pick-up space.
Then I drove the 25 miles home, yes I'm going to stand in the corner, however the scheduler (a new one for me) wrote a very nice email asking if I want a re-do, my answer was no, with a not so nice reason i should get paid.

One MSC has a report that has a box "no associate was present" or something like that. Then you have a minimum of 150 characters to say no associate was present and you can't submit it until you type in 150 characters.

My first thought is they want to know how long it took for the employee to greet you at the car after you park. If you are already there, that time can’t be measured. Sorry thus happened to you. I would have ordered at a nearby location and driven to the pickup spot st the time given for the order to be ready. In fact that’s exactly what I did yesterday on this shop.

I just checked the guidelines again, it says you MUST (they capitalized the word) arrive at the quoted time. So if you arrived before you even ordered I can see their problem with the shop. Of course I’m assuming you are referring to the same client and MSC. Were you at least able to enjoy the meal? I had a great steak, ribs and boneless chicken wings on mine.

They closed the one in my town years ago, and I was going to be close to that area,, why I took it. How do they see you, or know your there before you call. I enjoyed the meal, not the drive. I was told I could not park in the entire parking lot, yet there are several restaurants in this lot adjoing each other....I still don't get it.

They ask for the color and make of your car. At my location they can see the pick up spots through the window. I’ve done this three times and never had to call again when I arrived. They automatically came out to greet me within one minute which is their standard. Again if you don’t arrive at the quoted pick up time, there is no way to measure if they met you within one minute. That’s a required part of the report.

Oh, this is an easy one. "When I arrived, there was no associate present. I looked in every closet, checked the restroom, looked under the desks, searched the backroom, and searched each car in the lot. Eventually, I did find a person sleeping in the dumpster. However, she said that she did not work at the store. I left. I thought about calling the police to report that there was no associate at the store, but did not wish to reveal myself as a mystery shopper. As I was driving away, I noticed two large gentlemen carrying the store's cash register away; however, they were not in the store's uniform. I am quite certain that there were no associates present."

This is not about the actual input form itself but it would be really nice to know up front the actual guidelines/questions/all the required tasks for these shops before “accepting” or “assigning” them. I find myself accepting a low ball shop that then when I can access the guidelines am upset at all that needs to be done.

That they don't follow the guidelines.

Guidelines: wait for a sales associate to approach you. Note time and how they greeted you.
What happened: you waited 5 minutes and no one approached you. You wait 5 more. No one cares. You approach the SA.
Yet on Survey form it asks:1. What time did the SA greet you? 2. What did they say when they greeted you?
Narrative: Please tell us how the SA greeted you.

Not an exact survey....just an example of the reality. Many times I think the guidelines add to the frustration. If we are being asked 10 times what time we entered the restaurant, specify that in your guidelines!
#1 is my top pet peeve. I've learned to submit a brief explanation to learn the narrative character limit. Shops I do for TSN are like this. I just fill the bubbles in, save, then do the check and fill in everything else. Much less stress but does require two passes through and a few more buttons. I don't mind the redundant questions as much anymore because the system logic doesn't kick my responses anymore. I hated filling out page after page after page of one question each for Marketforce to get hung up and start over again. It actually saves automatically now and moves much quicker on my smartphone. I can usually have shops reported within the hour of completion now.
