I have applied for several jobs with this MSC but I have been ignored so far. Disappointing.

Errr...sample probably is my report in that case. It was a catch-up dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. We ate slowly because we were chatting a lot.

I had an application remain on the board for well over a month. The start date was this Thursday. It was dropped today with no word from the MSC either way. I see none listed now. I assume that kept it as an open app in case another shopper flaked. I know sone of you don’t agree that they do this but I cannot come up with any ither feasible explanation. Not a good policy on how to treat experienced, reliable shoppers but I’ll move on.

The better method I have seen is the MSCs that update a shop to being assigned, allowing the option to apply as a backup shopper. This at least lets us fully understand the current status and purpose of it still being listed.

That is exactly how this MSC and Shopmetrics operate, though!
If you select just that shop in Shopmetrics with no ZIp code in place you can clearly see all 208 location, which ones have been assigned and which ones have not, and apply for any of them. I don't understand the assertion that the MSC leaves shops open after assigning them as fact when it clearly is not.
With over 200 locations nationwide every two weeks there are probably thousands of shoppers applying for these assignments, with some shoppers requesting multiple locations. I have 18 that show up in my ZIP search.
I would much rather have the applications disappear than receive an automated rejection notice for every shop that's declined, and expecting a single scheduler that has numerous other duties to send out personal emails to every shopper who doesn't get an assignment is not realistic. I sometimes can't even get an answer from them on questions about shops that were assigned to me...

When you have a pending application, the shop is not visible to you on the list of available shops. You loose visibility, there is no way to understand if it is assigned or not.

You do't lose visibility, isaiah. If you simply go to the "My Applications" tab, you can see all of your applications, and if it has been assigned to another shopper it will not be present on that list any more.

I think you lost track of my complaint. For this particular MSC, they assign a shop but leave all other applications in Pending status. If the shop is completed successfully, they remove the pending applications. This is very common with the Shop Metrics platforms. On Shop Metrics, if you have an open application the shop disappears from the Job Board.
For Sassie, the shop remains visible on the Job Board until manually removed or otherwise assigned, regardless of our having a open application. It does appear that once assigned, the pending apps are removed which is more shopper friendly.

I think you lost track of your own complaint...or didn't understand my answer;

In Shopmetrics, the main tab is your INBOX by default. There are also tabs for MY APPLICATIONS and OPEN OPPORTUNITIES.
MY APPLICATIONS will indeed list everything you have applied for that has not been assigned elsewhere. When it gets assigned, it will no longer be there and you will automatically be included as a backup applicant, but the shop will return to the job board in the OPEN OPPORTUNITIES as [BACKUP SHOPPER] highlighted in yellow.
That's simply a function of Shopmetrics.
If the shop remains in MY APPLICATIONS, it has not yet been assigned.

Does anyone know the rotation for this shop? How long until I can shop the one 3 miles from home again?

Probably why they've instituted the audits.
