Scam

Hello, I have a question. Do we report somewhere when we get an email knowing it's a scam? I got an email asking me to confirm my address which was written and they would send me a check to deposit and i would have to do some kind of transfer. My payment would be 320$. I'm upset I opened this email but I thought it was for a real job. And how did they get my address?

Delete the email and move on. There are a million different ways that they could have gotten your contact information. Unfortunately, these scams are very common.

You could try to report it to the FTC, but chances are these people will not get caught and it would be a waste of time. The FTC generally responds more to the people who actually get these fake checks in the mail.
