Phone shops

I have started signing up new companies. I have come across companies that offer phone shops.

I know most companies want experience shoppers or with a certain rating. And all companies that offer theses shops have different requirements. But how can you get experience if you have not shopped for them? I know we are not suppose to e-mail the scheduler and ask about the appication. and some you can only do one phone shop at a time.

I applied for about 5 with RBG the other day and I was given one of them. I have shopped with them before and I have a 10 rating with them.

To Shoppers View Christine. If you read this, if you don't mnd can you please tell me how you schedule phone shops. If you are not allowed to say I understand. But since I know your phone company does them I thought I would ask smiling smiley

Thanks

Isaiah, look at the companies you are already registered with. You'll probably find phone shops with them.

If you don;t see any phone shops on your job boards, expand your search radius out to the max. For Sassie, I think it's 999 miles. Then look for the shops with lower fees. With some MSC's, would can filter the results for type of shop and phone may be an option.
Hi, Isaiah4031a! Thanks for the PM. I don't mind answering on the forum in case anyone has a similar question in the future. smiling smiley

For Shoppers' View, we do not have rules in place about having a certain rating with us in order to be assigned shops. We look at the shopper's history more than the number. So, if your rating is low because you did not follow instructions or because of excessive late shops, flakes, and cancellations, this will impact the likelihood of you being assigned shops. However, if you rating is low because you are new (SASSIE starts new shoppers out at 5), we aren't going to penalize you for it.

For phone shops, we will generally assign a shopper up to 5 at a time, if we can. However, this depends on many factors. For example, if we have a lot of applications, we try to spread them out to as many shoppers as we can. This gives our clients fresh voices and perspectives. We also tend to give preference to shoppers who live closer to a location, especially if its in an area with a heavy dialect or accent. So, if you are applying for a lot of phone shops at once, make sure you hit up the ones that are closest to you first!

TroyHawkins' advice about searching for phone shops by widening your radius is great! I know on our Job Board, you can click "Additional Filters" and it will show a drop down menu called "Project type." From this menu, you can select phone shops. We also have a filter for website shops.

I hope that helped. It's been a couple of years since I worked in the phones department, but if you have any specific questions that I didn't answer, feel free to email us at shoppers@shoppersview.com. This email goes to all of our schedulers, so someone will be able to help. smiling smiley

Thanks for replying back. There was another Sassie company that i am signed up that offers phone shops. I received the email last nignt abd as soon as I saw it I apply for all 25 of them. I had never shop for this company before but all the calls were located in Aklaska (which is far far away for me)

Sadly I did not get any of them. Will it be wrong if I email her and ask her what I can do to get one next month if they become available?

I know most companies give you one at a time.

@ShoppersViewChristine I am registered for your company but I have not worked for your company. I am looking forward to doing phone shops for your company when they become available. Hopefully when I apply for one, you will give me a chance to get my feet wet with your company smiling smiley

@TroyHawkins thanks for your suggestion.

You were very helpful and if I have any more questions or concerns, I will email yo or post here.

Thanks again
@Isaiah4031a Those phone shops went very quickly and they are very popular. The scheduler had an abundance of applications, she assigned them to shoppers with the highest ratings. Unfortunately, the only way to have gotten any would have been to have a good history with the MSC.
Phone shops generally go quick when they are available, regardless of the MSC or the pay. Shoppers like them because they are relatively quick and you don’t have to go anywhere. Best thing to do is complete regular shops with those MSC’s. Make sure you meet your deadlines and requirements. Keep applying whenever you see phone shops and eventually you will get them.
When they don't have any shops in my area then it is hard. Like some one mentioned if you are new with a comany they start you off with a five.

Its like applying for a job. Most places want people with experience, but how can you get experience if they don't give you a chance.

I will keep applying and eventually I will l get 1
