Xfinity shop report: low character limit

Just a rant for this shop. The report says "describe in detail your experience with the CSR". Only AFTER you submit the report does it tell you that you are limited to 500 characters! Other parts of the report ask for "1-3 sentences describing what was explained to you", but again only AFTER you try to submit do you see the character limit is only 250 characters! That's enough for just one sentence. It really irked me that I spent a lot of time writing a detailed report, only to have to go back and delete half of what I wrote so it could be accepted. It was very difficult to explain odd things that happened and what they are asking for in only 500 characters. I really wish MSCs made you aware of these limits before you submit!

I had the same thing happen on a car report. I spent a lot of time writing a detailed narrative, and then had to go back to drastically shorten everything I had put down. It's interesting, because other companies will make you go back and write more.

I've run into this several times, and it's very time consuming with some shops to be able to cut to the maximum character count and still give an accurate narrative.

Why can't they just indicate in the question for the specific field what the character limit is? Would that just make too much sense?

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

It would be much more efficient if the maximum amount of characters was visible. I have no problems adding to a report but hate trying to shorten it.

I just did the same shop. Same problem. Lol I suppose that’s a better situation than getting a request for more narrative.

Trying to learn from all of these rockstars.
