Most pies in our area are awesome. We are very close to Amish country and I always pick up a pie whenever traveling through there. They carry Amish pies in our grocery stores as well. And, we have a pie place a few miles from my house, Gardner's pies, and if you don't get there before noon the pies are all sold out. I love the strawberry pies in the summer, mmmmm. But nobody makes a better pecan pie then my old Auntie who lives in Texas. I know she will make me her special pecan pie at Thanksgiving, she bakes a whole pie just for me
She has pecan trees in her yard and when we were kids we used to climb the trees and shake the limbs so all the pecans would fall down and she could pick them up and make pies...sigh. Good times. Although my mama didn't like that we were climbing trees that were 50 feet high, LOL!

@JASFLALMT If I still worked in north-central Ohio, I'd invite you to a road trip to Worthington to go to Just Pies. OMG, just THINKING about that place makes me hungry! On topic, I agree with you 100% about the folks who persist in asking the "who shops whom?" question; there is no need for that nonsense.
