Poor writing samples in the comments.

Forgive me, I am insufficiently caffeinated and may have misinterpreted something. Is the referenced writing like the proverbial glass which may be half full, half empty, or just a decorative piece that includes a centralized horizon line?

So is the writing poor, or is it rich in silliness, pungency, ire, or glee? Is is emanating the rich aroma of effluvia? What about an edited thread title? "Rich Writing! No, not as in get rich quickly or otherwise from writing. This might be the stuff of soul enrichment or even just a moment of diversion that will balance your perspective. Might it lighten your load or go so far as to make your day?"

I'm sure most people on this forum put alot more effort into the reports they submit; since it's a job vs posting on a casual forum. In my case I could care less if I have a bunch of spelling errors or incorrect grammar in this forum. I take my reports alot more seriously and I tend to proofread them at least 3 to 5 times, before submitting them. In addition, I still can't comprehend why people always fill the need to correct some strangers post on a casual forum..the only exception as already pointed out is someone in need of advice on why they got a low score on a report and is obvious the grammar might have been a factor...

I consider myself and my partner as good spellers - people who hardly ever make spelling mistakes. I've talked to others who consider themselves good spellers. The interesting thing about what I have heard from those who are or who consider themselves good spellers is, that there seems to be a common thread: when they see incorrect spelling, wherever it is, it stands out as if it was printed in red highlight. It is indeed a bothersome thing.
Perhaps this is what the commenter meant. Grammatical errors stand out in red to the writer and, at some point, they felt a comment was needed.
With all that being said (I'm a good speller, etc) I have made stupid, foolish spelling errors on this forum. The most glaring was using "they're" rather than "there". BTW, I forget which post it was.
There" is no excuse for myself.
Don't be so hard on yourself...my real problem was this "attack" came from a new member, speaking about established members shopping for years. I found that a bit self-centered, that's all. My life won't change, but what a way to introduce yourself and try and feel accepted. Jacob not caring means it's o.k....lol

You aren't much of a grammar cop yourself. Lots of run on sentences. Kindly; do you write reports like this?
