"You need to apply and answer three short questions to make sure you're not a scheduler, editor or company trying to get into the group."

How is that possible? Supplying a SSN? I think not. Hard pass, here thanks.
Just an fyi some of us are schedulers are also shoppers.

I would never join a FaceBook group. Not because I have any problems with Mystery Shopping. You don't know who these people are. I also find it difficult to understand that some shoppers have lots of problems and blame everyone but themselves. If you have to go on a site to discredit editors, schedulers, MSC's, I don't think you should be Mystery Shopping. This is not a personal attack, I know you mean well, On the flip side. We should be working together.
Everything on Facebook can be read by anyone.

Why would I join a Facebook group where everyone knows my name when I can just vent here anonymously?

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
Oh, so many red flags! New participant. Multiple posts. ONLY talks about this group. Does not disclose who is behind the group. The OP, perhaps?

Something is indeed ridiculous.
I think the original post must have been removed as spam. However this topic again makes me wonder why I would possibly join a Facebook group sponsored by an MSC? There are some MSCs which encourage that. 1) I don't want to inform the world or my friends that I am a mystery shopper. 2) I have no intention of advertising an MSC. 3) I decline to give an MSC access to my friends. Supposedly, some MSCs post assignments on Facebook. Someone else can have them.

What am I missing...I have Facebook to keep up with relatives as we're spread over three states. I get to see Grandkids, my daughter's work and travel stuff and have been on for seven years without incident. I get an ad from Jacob on his magazine, but if I don't accept them as a friend, they CANNOT get into my Facebook,
only the first page which says nothing of interest and I have a phoney email there....I never use Facebook for my work, or talk about MS'ing, my family wouldn't understand. Facebook is for personal use (not work) for me and keeps me connected with those I love who live afar. What's the big deal, they have settings which are in your control only.. I find in many cases, those that don't know or participate in the subject, are always scared, lighten up, your o.k....
P.S. I found an awsome foodie group, have sold stuff on a site there in my town and many useful things I needed,
plus a private PM (like here) to make arrangements for breakfast with an old friend, and found out who's safe through our fires and would not give it up....a great source of connection on many different levels for me....
but different strokes......

Live consciously....

Several of you are advising having multiple Facebook accounts. That is not permitted by Facebook other than that you can have one personal and one business account.

"Facebook is a community where people use their authentic identities. It's against the Facebook Community Standards to maintain more than one personal account.
If you want to represent your business, organization, brand or product on Facebook, you can use your personal account to create and manage a Page. Keep in mind that a personal profile is for non-commercial use and represents an individual person. Learn more about converting your profile to a Page.
If you're using your profile to represent something other than yourself, you can convert it to a Page. If you're a public figure, learn about allowing followers.
If you have 2 or more accounts, learn how to move your information into a single account. You can also add another name (ex: maiden name, nickname, former name) to your account." [www.facebook.com]

I would shrivel up and die without Facebook. There are groups for shoppers only where you can get awesome advise without repercussions. I have my personal Facebook account so I can keep up with friends and family and one for shopping and two that I started about Bichon Frises' and one for smart home sharing.
That's actually not allowed. [www.facebook.com]

Why anyone would still be using FB after all their privacy breaches and sales is beyond me.

"Let me offer you my definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you - and why?” ~Walter Williams
I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. I love that they are there to keep up on what's happening in the lives of those I rarely talk to or see. However, I hate that you can't do anything without Facebook ratting you out. You make a little change to your profile and FB posts a note on everyone's timeline that you changed it. You like a picture on a friend's page and FB announces that you liked one of their pictures.
