Have you seen improvements at location after your shop?

I recently went to a children entertainment place, this was a second visit, three months after the first visit. I noticed a baby changing table in the restroom, put more trash bags on the floor, and they fixed one table (it was one particular spot) I felt like my report helped. I didn't see any changes in employees' attitude or service thou.

What I noticed is how emplotees attemot to treat yiy better uf yiu are ibese or just overweight. Or how you look or uf yiu look welloff. We will see if any imorivements come to fruition.
Yes i agree. All the years I’ve gone to Best Buy and I’m always trying to track down somebody to help me. When I did a mystery shop there and had the same issues.
I have shopped a particular bar at a location since they started their MS program. Over the last year and a half, two of my bartenders have made manager! I'm so proud of them! The first was always an excellent bartender and made manager not too long after they started the program, but the second actually had some issues and made tons of improvement in the last year. The last time I went in, he had made manager. It's pretty cool to see those things happen.
I failed a restaurant shop because the service was terrible. The assistant manager was yelling across the room to customers and staff the entire time and the server dropped off our check as soon as she delivered our food. She never came to check on us after that. When my son asked her kindly for a takeout box, she stopped in her tracks and rudely yelled out that she needed to serve her customers first and he needed to wait until she was done. On my next visit, she avoided us like the plague and looked like she had her tail between her legs. She spoke in a soft manner and tried to befriend the table next to us by taking an interest in their kids.
I too would like purse hooks.
I shop a restaurant that has had the same, really loose toilet seat for 5 years
I did a post office shop, the clerk put in the wrong zip code, when they told me the total I knew it wasn’t enough, they proceeded to change the zip code but didn’t make other changes. When the package reached the other state the tracking said refused...... the package was eventually sent back to me. I was upset and wondered if the clerk was informed of what happened, all while I waited 6 weeks to hear bk if I could resend, they told me to resend on another shop, I said it was cheaper for me to resend on my own....about a month later I went to do a shop and they now require customers to verify the full address, the day it happened I was on a shop and the clerk asked me to bear with them as it was new and had just been uploaded and they were getting familiar with the new process. I didn’t think much about it until my dad came during the holidays and I was telling him about the package I tried to send and what happened.and how I didn’t think what I did matter and he said sure it does and said .... it was after all that when they implemented the customer address verification wasn’t it. So don’t underestimate what your doing and the changes that may be happening behind the scenes

Concur! I'm overweight and I don't know if that is the issue, for me, i think it is because I'm short. When I was thin and young, i was still overlooked, even when I was standing there first. In the past few months, I've had three servers just ignore me either when I've sat down, or check back, or worse, never bringing the check or picking up the payment. And yet, I see them perform much better for other customers. I sometimes get frustrated that they are wasting my time, but I also laugh because they perform poorly for the shopper. When this happens at a non-shop, I really want to make a report. I have at a few places like an auto parts store. Few days later, it came up on a shop. :-)

This month I noticed many of them were asking me to verify the address. Awesome job!
A bathroom of a gas station was grungy. Like the routine cleaning was being done, but not keeping up with the overall grime. Next time I was there, the restroom had been painted.
Checked out of a motel after a debrand visit on Tuesday. Passed by on Thursday to see a work crew removing the signage.

Too bad it was a Freeman shop.
I asked for the bathroom keys and was give a ring of keys that included the keys to the front door. I mentioned this in a report and the next time there was a dedicated ring for the restroom key.
You can sometimes see how managers use the reports. Staff might change behaviors in thoughtful, sincere ways or just start going through the motions robotically.

When I see the latter change in behavior, it really demonstrates that feedback alone is not enough.
BJ's Warehouse was different from our first to our second visit. Stocking had greatly improved. One of the two employees was friendly. I can't attribute this to us visiting, but I hope the report gave some helpful feedback.
A fast food place had a pothole in the exit driveway that got bigger every time I visited. I finally started noting that it was large enough to cause a problem if a car's tire dropped down in it, and mentioned that as a customer I might go somewhere else out of fear of getting stuck in the pothole. The next week, the pothole was repaired. I suspect that mentioning it as a safety issue made the difference.
I just did a shop (lunch) and service was the worst, I really gave it to them, not holding back to the point I wonder if they'll accept report, but this server needs to be trained. Will not do it again, so hope report woke someone up.
Have never had a pothole repaired due to a report, but that is the city's job, so it's good they listened to the shopper. How can one be sure it was your report that did it or a few dozen reports adding up to change.

Just came to mind, the bakery in a grocery store I do had many expired cakes marked down. I got an apology and problem was fixed.

This! I believe that other shoppers and actual customers might be expressing similar concerns. I cannot prove this.

Not to nitpick but you didn't fail them they did. And while they may have been so bad that you know there is no way they passed, we are very rarely made aware of the scoring for most projects.

yes, I have seen my comments being taken seriously.

My biggest stickler for shops (kinda dumb I guess) is major potholes in the parking lot. I have a lower clearance vehicle and I am sorry, I have seen pot holes big enough to do serious damage to my car.

I do at least 2 (sometimes 3) home improvement shops every month. Its a small chain in my area. The reports take forever, but the pay is decent ($32 a shop for not very much traveling).

I more or less complained about a pothole, which was right as you came off the highway into their parking lot. More or less, it was unavoidable to not hit (I seriously complained about it). About 3 weeks later, I saw them putting up cones to fix the hole. Same chain different location, I complained about a huge on in their driveway, unfortunately, I have not been back to see if they fixed it yet or not.
I did a trial membership shop. The employee said they no longer offered them, and tried to sell me a half priced membership. The next few times I came into the store, he was working in a different capacity .

I shopped a fast food drive-through several times over the course of a year. The credit card machine under the delivery window was absolutely filthy that whole time. However, the report only asked if it was in working condition, and I reported each time that it did appear to be working. Finally I volunteered a comment about the dirty condition. The next time I shopped there, the machine had been cleaned up. Not only that, the report had been changed to ask if the machine was both working and clean!
And now for the other side of the coin. I did a burger place which was smack in the middle of the parade route for the West Hollywood, California Pride celebration...and my assignment was on Pride parade day. I should have realized it was along the route. Got there and the street was closed so the parking lot was as well. Got in line with 75 people in front of me. When I left 82 were in line. There was no let up. They did an absolutely wonderful job of getting everyone through the line in a good mood, the employees were upbeat after hours of these long lines, the food was perfectly cooked quickly and not a scrap of anything on the floor. I gave them a glowing report and since I was allowed subjectivity I told them how fantastic it was. I hope this location gets a big commendation due to my report but I will never know.
