Chocolate covered bacon is really good. You would not think bacon in a milkshake as good but it works. Bacon makes everything better as long as its real bacon and not bacon flavored aka bacon flavored cotton candy (yes I actually saw this).

Fried cheese curds are available at Buffalo Wild Wings probably not as good as in Wisconsin or Nebraska but at least you can try them. Many grocery stores carry cheese curds while at least here in Buffalo, NY.

As for the fair oh fried oreos, twinkies, snickers bar, other candy bars, hot dogs aka corn dogs, and many other things.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I was raised the same way. Trust me, that will power did not happen overnight. My ex-husband was the kitchen trash can. Looking at him made me reevaluate my relationship with food. I don't eat when I am not hungry, hence I control my portions.

Yes, the shake was amazing. Two sips was all I needed. There was no need to bring it home with me. The same for the fries.

How do you have the will power to throw a delicious shake in the trash for no reason whatsoever other than just to avoid the calories??? My mom instilled in me "clean plate syndrome". It has taken me years to leave food on my plate and put it in the microwave or throw away.

I have spent more than a decade in US and haven't even seen what Five Guys looks like from the inside. I took a shop a couple of weeks ago and canceled it. The instructions were not clear plus I didn't want the extra calories. Maybe I will try a burger next week and see what it's like.
What was vague about the instructions?

Five guys shops are super simple. you walk in and order an entree *burger, grill cheese, or hot dog. Do not order anything else right then. Then when they offer you fries/a drink you add them and pay. As soon as they hand you your receipt you hit the start button on your stopwatch. Then walk along the counter observing the meat cook. This is to see if they change their gloves after putting the meat on the grill. If you miss it just keep watching. Someone else will come in and order a burger. When the fries are ready, count the number of times they shake the basket. It should be 15. As soon as the fry cook hands you your bag, stop the stopwatch. Then get a fountain drink. Observe the condiment section, to see if the malt vinegar and ketchup is stocked. Then you take the food to the table and use whatever you use to take notes, text, memo pad or write on the back of the receipt. The cashier's description, and the time off of the stopwatch. Observe the crew see if one has a black shirt, or if a black shirt comes out while you are there. That's it. The cleanliness stuff is normal everyday cleanliness stuff, except for looking for black marks on the patio. Basically, you observe the employees make sure they aren't doing anything stupid, check the tables inside and out and the bathroom. take a mental note of anything that looks bad to a customer and your done. Mum it's not nearly as confusing as you might think from the guidelines.
I go to the bathroom first so I can wash my hands before I eat.

Post deleted as it breaches Forum rules to ask, either in public or PM, which MSC is associated with which shop (and vice versa).

@HonnyBrown. It was a delivery shop and the instructions were not clear about the milkshake. The CPI said one thing and the main page showed another. I emailed the scheduler and she came up with two replies. Follow the CPI and then she emailed back saying that it wasn't clear. She promised to get back but didn't and I cancelled it.
Mum, yes, I had an issue (different) with the delivery shop as well. I also canceled it.

I saw the delivery shops in the app and was confused just looking at the 3 pay levels, hadn't even taken a shop yet. Since Mum and Honny both had issues, I guess I'll wait until the kinks are worked out before taking one.

On a side note, usually the 5Guys shops are easy and routine. But last time I had to fill in that describe exactly what the employee was doing and provide a description of the employees part.
Not sure what will happen to the employee, and I'll feel bad for them if they lose their job, but I gotta do my job. I'm hoping it's just a reprimand for them.
I did a shop a few months ago with a nasty exterior. The employee was by the dumpster on his phone during my entire visit. I noted this in my report. He still worked there when I did a shop this month.

I recently had deep fried deviled eggs in a restaurant in Prescott, Az. They were okay - just had to try them!

Susie shopping the Columbus Ohio area and outlying communities.
Yeah, I would need to try those.

5G is so bizzare I tried the make an offer of 14 bucks and they did not accept it. WTF. Today, I wake up and the shop is now sitting at self assign for $15 fee. I debated for 2 hours before scratching my head in disbelief and accepting. 5 guys works in Mysterious ways indeed lol
Yep. I have yet to figure out the rhyme or reason. I offered 16 for one which was rejected, the next day they call me and offer me $20 for the same shop.
I've also seen them increase the fee, then call me and ask if I could do one for the original fee.
Same thing with the other shops that MSC has. It's just strange.

Does anyone know any companies that do trailer checks? No one knows where I live so its okay to post on here.
I get a personal email asking if I can do shop. I answer email saying yes and give date. I look at site and job is not available. Second month this has happened....don't ask me if you don't need me.

Live consciously....
Irene, I've had that happen also, but with a call. The shop was assigned to me with the bonus I wanted. It was nowhere on the job board.

Do you mean to tell me some people think chocolate is bad for you? Doesn't it cancel out all the other bad things you eat with it?

Chocolate comes from cocoa beans. Beans are vegetables. Vegetables are good for you. So Chocolate is good for you.

Their shops are done Thurs - Sun of every week. With such a short window there's a big difference in how desperate they get from one day to the next. If you ever see it on Monday for that day ask for the bank they didn't make their deadline.

Inappropriate post removed. No personl insults, and add a positive contribution, please.

The schedulers start with the multiple calls on Friday for the previous week's shops. I ask for a ridiculous bonus. They say no and so do I. Another scheduler calls back in 20 minutes for the same shop. I ask for the same ridiculous bonus. They ask their supervisor. I get assigned the shop.

The way you worded this question makes it answerable. Several companies offer this type of shop. There is another thread, I think, regarding movie trailer shops. However, other posters can now provide the names of MSCs-- because no theater or client was named. Thank you for this! smiling smiley
