Same here. I'm surprised to hear others see it differently. I will give a quick reply via text or email that is sent to me specifically (not mass automated ones, of course). Do schedulers really want to take my call just to hear me say no thanks?

I feel like I’m wasting their time to call back and say no. If I can take the shop, then I’ll call back.
Exactly this^^^^
I don't really have a lot of time to shop. I do it to pad costs when I'm going somewhere and maybe once in a while for a dinner out with the husb, or a fun night with the family at an amusement place.
But I manage our rental properties, and in the last several months, I've had to replace an a/c, two roofs and 2 hot water heaters
….( so maybe I should pick up some shops for $$$ lol) I also have 4 kids who I homeschool; 2 kids with medical problems; have a room mate; babysit; tutor; teach online. I'm also thinking about going back to school. In addition to all of that, we've taken a girl into our home, so we really have 5 kids now. Add to that the fact that (because of homeschool) I try to take my kids to the Art Museum; Museum of Nature and Science; Children's Museum; Aquarium; city sponsored events; Zoo...etc at least once a month. My husband and I alternate months where we do a "special day" with our kids...he gets evens, I get odds. We don't do December and we don't do March. But each month, one of us spends 2+ hours with one child one on one. And my kids are in "everything." My daughter has been in tap, jazz, ballet for 8 years. She started pointe a little over a year ago. She's taken piano lessons for 2 years; guitar lessons for 7. She takes ASL and Arabic lessons. She's been in soccer, basketball and swimming frequently, but not regularly. My two oldest sons have been in ballet for 7 years. Both have taken piano lessons for 2 years. One also takes trumpet lessons. One takes ASL. Both are in club soccer AND school soccer. Both are in club basketball. One is in baseball. My youngest, who is 7, just started ballet this fall and has been in city league soccer for a year now. My 3 older kids and husb and I take turns (various of the 5 oldest fam members) work 2-3 Fri nights at a Bingo hall because working there pays for the club soccer.
Honest truth here: There have actually been days (usually during soccer season) where I have to draw a little map and plot out my times to drop off, pick up, drop off, pick up...using as many short cuts through town as possible lol
So, my life is too busy to pee sometimes, let alone return a call IF THERE IS NO WAY I would be able to do the shop....
I'm very picky about my shops
