I had this recent experience that on the surface would appear to have been resolved but in fact still weighed on me. I accepted a job for a hearing aid clinic mystery shop with this MSC I've never had a job with before and which compared to others, seemed smaller in scale. My job is to book an appointment and do a visit, and report on both processes. I uploaded the initial email communication as they became available, but the corporate first told me to make an appointment by calling the clinic directly, and then the clinic told me the earliest appointment was on Oct 19. I booked an appointment for Oct 24, the earliest date I could make since I have a day job. I communicated with the schedulers along the way (and it took them several days to respond, but to make sure I secure an appointment slot so the shop could be done asap for the MSC, I went ahead to book the appointment). The scheduler's response was simply that "that day would simply be too late" with no further instructions. So, in a limbo, I proactively asked them to cancel the shop. They did not respond but I noticed the shop gone.
What I'm hung up with is the lack of communication, such that I have some inkling that the schedulers understood that the shop didn't work out was at least partly out of my control. I wish they would communicate better and more frankly. This MSC doesn't disclose your shopper's rating, and I think it could have been compromised without me knowing and affect my future chances of securing shops with them.
