Texas Roadhouse

I think its a 45 day rotation. I try and space them out and eat there once a month for a special treat. I live within driving distance of 1hr 30 min, from 5 of them.

On the cost, I got 3 meals from them tonight for $50 after tip. So for $15 we got 3 meals and a ton of bread. We had water to cut costs. But my Dad (who lives to tag along too) has to order the $20 steak.

The rotation is waived at the end of the month if you ask the scheduler. There is one location I do almost every month.
I prefer the bar shops since the report is shorter. I only go when they offer a bonus. This month so far they haven't offered a bonus.
If you want to have dinner, it's an OK shop. You don't get paid for your work, only reimbursement for the meal. And there is a price limit, so if you do take a guest, your bill will be more than your reimbursement. I do this assignment occasionally just to get out for the evening. Some require an alcohol purchase.
There are both dining room and bar shops in DE, NJ and PA. Probably elsewhere as well.

Dining room?
All I've ever seen are ones at the bar.

The service at the one near me was so bad last time I was there that I don't want to go again! I haven't shopped it in years but hubby got a gift card so we went. I won't go again unless I get paid a lot more than reimbursement.

I love TR shops. Unfortunately there have not been any assignments in my area for months.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
I love to shop Texas RoadHouse but I only go to those that are close to me, like 15 miles or so. I don't want to drive 45 minutes for a steak. And then you have to wait for 90 days to go there again

We love this one, especially the dining room shops, and can often pick up a bonus month end. always bring home rolls. The burgers are huge, and the 6 ounce sirloin is our other go to.
Has anyone ever been identified by the restaurant manager? I hope the MSC company protects my identify and refuses to answer whether it was me or not. The report was excellent so I don’t know why this location is trying to out me.
I like the Roadhouse food. It is possible to do the dinners solo sometimes especially when they start getting desperate. You should notify them first if you are going to do the dinner solo, and tell them to remove the shop from your shop log if solo does not work for them.

I have steered away from this since because I figured the report was long and painful as restaurant shops can be. Some of you are saying it is an easy report. Can anyone give details on what the report requires? Thanks
There are no food timings for one thing and no restroom check for another. It is very basic..food quality...server attention..TVs on to sports..manager check in...use your name...use jigger...cleanliness..your favorite thing..etc

I haven't eaten at this restaurant in two years. The beef tips are a bit like rubber at this restaurant. There is no way a person can chew these beef tips and swallow them. It is so crowded you can call ahead and you still have to wait, sometimes standing, for a half hour. It is so crowded in Baton Rouge that you sometimes have to park in a neighboring restaurant parking lot.

I believe one of the specs is to order a steak btw. I just spent $60 tonight after tip for three. One wine and I got what they should call the blue plate. 4 sides. The chili is amazing btw.
Bar shops are the only solo. You can only do one shop every 45 days. . Not a bar and a dining room.Theef tips we have ordered were great
I'm in N. FL and they are very popular here. The food is good, but not great. It's the service that stands out and it's a fun atmosphere! I suggest you try it once. Plan to cook something light at home and just get an app or 2 to stay within budget.

There are two different types of shops: dining room and bar. MsJudi sums up the bar shop.
With the dining room shop, the reimbursement is $35 and it's possible to stay under it. I have not done one of these in over a year so things may have changed since. (I now prefer the bar shops.) You need to do the call ahead sitting. Get the names of the hostess and server. There are timings, but phrased as "Was the entrée delivered within 15 minutes?" It asks if a manager talked to you. You need to check the restroom. The MSC is a Sassie company, and the system always warns you to save your work at the 30 minute mark, and I am always done before then. There are short narratives, which require maybe 3-5 sentences. The only picture you need is the receipt.
I didn't know the rotation could be waived at the end of the month. The emails are desparate enough.

From what I have noticed in Ohio, it starts at $3, then $5 and finally $10, but I only recall a single occasion where it rose to $10. In addition, it is usually the same locations each month. While I have received a few TR bonuses over the years, that sum has never been a deciding factor for me. I work TR because I am not required to have a guest, the report is very easy, the restrictions are few, $25 is quite reasonable and I am a fan of their food. In that there are no negatives for me, the question is not why I shop TR, but why would I not complete the jobs?
