I did this hardware shop for a different MSC last year. I think it was $20 ($15 base + a $5 bonus). It was hardly worth it at that time-wise, but I was in the area and actually needed one of the products you could use as a scenario, so it was a chance to do some research.
I now see the same chain being shopped by a different MSC, and for $8! Who the heck would do this? It's not like the gas-station audits you all mention that take just a few minutes. The survey is 56 questions, and the time in-store is probably at least 1/2 hour, between waiting to get helped and allowing the salesperson to do his or her spiel. There are several timings involved, if the shop is the same. And, of course, this is one where they let you see the guidelines before you apply, but not the survey. LOL.
Ten-foot pole job at $8, in case anybody sees these and is tempted to do one.
