I wish the JITB report allowed for optional comments

Although I've been able to use the optional extra photos section a couple of times, the number one issue I find on JITB shops cannot be photographed.

They do NOT clean their ice maker or water lines and often their iced tea cannisters and makers nearly enough.

So far today, I've dumped two out of three iced teas. Why? One tasted like a dirty aquarium smells and the other the ice had a strong algae taste.

I do about 100 JITB shops a month and I find this about 50 percent of the time. It's just gross.

I don't order sodas generally, but soda will hide the tainted ice flavor. But if you're an ice chomper like me, you may have noticed the nasty tasting ice.

And sometimes the iced tea clearly came from a dirty container. It is not fresh.

In today's world of old diseases reappearing and new antibiotic-resistant strains on the rise, I want to feel confident I'm not going to get a food-borne illness. I developed a serious case of food poisoning a few days ago after doing a half dozen JITB shops and I barely touch the food.

I would really like to report it, but I'm guessing JITB won't care until they have a major e coli breakout that kills customers and makes the news.

It would be nice for optional comments. Maybe you could take a picture of the tea so you could comment.
Is JITB aware of potential issues involving pesticides and other potential hazards for some common teas?

I would on a personal basis, not Mystery shopping, contact corporate and tell them, don't tell them you are a mystery shopper. You could call the health department in the town they are in. I would personally call the health department, they would send someone out to check. This is a health problem.
That's a lot of JITB.
They don't get high enough around here for me to do them that frequently.... Holy smokes.

I just take a photo and comment in that section...

(80 - 90 shops a week for me)

Ya, I do a lot of shops for JITB.

Today and tomorrow I have
21 + 44 shops, or 61. For the week, 4 + 10 + 21 + 21 + 44, or 100 shops... :/

My profits this month will exceed 3000.00 --- it is a lot of work but worth it... I average 10.00 per location across all shops for the week...

How long are you spending onsite with the new requirements? I've found that I struggle to spend less than 15 minutes between the visit and the report. (The additional pictures take longer to upload.) So, I tend not to take them until I top $15 profit per shop....

And, more importantly, how the heck to you keep your car smelling fresh? That time I did 31 visits in a day, my car smelled of grease for almost a week!

Crazy! There is only one city within 200 miles of me with JIB. About 6 of them. That's it.

65 actually
JITB is not near me, either. But this topic is interesting because JITB is not the only restaurant that serves tea. How good is restaurant tea generally and specifically?

Having been a waitress most of my life, I have seen a lot of stuff. Sometimes in those iced tea urns! No. Just no.

Agreed. They are usually very slimy.

Also, if you order a soda that is not used frequently (Coke Zero comes to mind), it is often expired. Expired diet soda is nasty.
The $10 pay is not enough for writing narratives in addition to taking all those photos. I just take the pic, take the ten bucks, be thankful the reimbusement covers the purchase, and move on to the next one.
