Is that a dine in shop or curbside pickup? Gov in my state is just now allowing 25% dine in. Many of the restaurants are choosing to continue with no dining in service as they feel it isn't profitable enough.
The September shops in my area were dine-in and the time frames had been relaxed. They were self-assign. I didn't take one because most of September I'll be working in another city (my day job). So I didn't see the guidelines and can't report if they have been altered. Too bad. I would have loved to have had some Roadhouse. My area is open for dine in at 50% but I'm still doing curbside and take out. I haven't dined in anywhere since March.
The TXRH's here have been at about 85-90% of normal business. Bubba's is about the same.

I'm in Virginia where COVID hasn't had the crazy surges as elsewhere, but we're still seeing decent new cases.

When I've driven by, I've seen elderly people without face masks walking toward and out of Bubba's and TXRH. Not sure if they're immune already, don't mind the risk, or what.

Wearing a mask does not protect you from corona. Wearing a mask is a polite (and mandated in some areas) way to protect the people you come in contact with from any germs or viruses you might transmit.
I'm doing one tomorrow. With the relaxed time frame we can take advantage of the early bird specials, if they still have them. Does anyone know?

I would be eternally grateful for those going to TXRH if they could report on food prices. Don't want to call all 600 of their restaurants. winking smiley Since I am now officially a shareholder of their business, I want to know if they've raised prices. Discussion on Yahoo! has people saying they've upped some prices, but I think it varies maybe by location.
Does owning TXRH stock also mean I cannot shop them anymore? LOL. I am technically an owner! grinning smiley
If more people were sharing these types of experiences and stories and being heard and thanked, there would be a balanced perspective in the world today. Anyway, I am glad that you have this strength from experience. It is incomparable!

When these came back to my area in September they flew off the boards. Now it seems like all those eager shoppers are still rotated out or aren't interested in risky indoor dining. Some locations still have three open shops for December!
Dined at one the other night on my own, not for a shop. When I shopped them last month they were skipping booths for Covid social distancing. This visit they had clear plastic barriers between the booths and were seating people in all the booths.

No peanuts available now. Also, they have an online steak delivery service like Omaha Steaks, but less expensive. Still too rich for my blood at $20/lb for boneless ribeye delivery.

BTW, I found out from my scheduler you CAN use gift cards during shops. Please check with yours. They had a buy $30 get $5 and this month a bonus $5 electronic gift card. So $40 in gift cards for $30 spent.
Good tip! Reading a lot of public health experts comments on indoor dining has convinced me that seating people in adjacent booths is not a good example of Covid safety. Airborne particles can just travel right over those plastic barriers, especially if they don't reach the ceiling. I saw eateries doing this when we were at 40% dining room capacity in my state. They'd then close off a big section of the restaurant so they could report being under capacity. That may be easier for operational purposes, but it just defeats the purpose of lowered capacity. Over the weekend we went down to 25%, which means there should be no excuse for letting diners anywhere near another party.

Wrosie, about those bonus gift cards, please read the fine print. I think they say they are rung in as a coupon. If you read the fine print on the MSC's website, they will say coupons are not permitted. I would check with the scheduler before using the bonus gift card on a shop. I have used a lot of regular TXRH gift cards on shops without any issues.
I took my wife with me an couple of months ago for a shop.. They had dividers between the booths and no peanuts. However, what I eat I got sick.. This was the first time I ever got sick from TRH.

I don't see why the rotation is every 90 days.. They are always busy in my area and every time I go in there is always some one new.. It's hard for me to go anyways with my work schedule
I think the client wants to have a variety of shoppers instead of the same people.

They have no outside dining so I will pass for the next few months, No curbside shops around here either,.
I am never able to get a TRH to the point I wonder why I even open the emails. The MSC is located in my town and I suspect the employees also shop. I wish they could spread it out more!
lcubed3, the shops in my area posted as scheduled....the locations I want anyway.

Since today is the second of the month and I received the email today, next month I will check the board on the first of the month.

That being said, one of the locations I like to do is shopped six times per month. I'm confident I will get one since it is now on my radar.

Yesterday they posted curbside shops (but no dine in) for my state. I managed to snag one. The form certainly looks easy, but for the required photos, even after looking at the examples in the guidelines, I'm slightly puzzled as to the difference between "food with lids open but still in packaging" and "food out of packaging but uneaten." I'll just take a bunch of photos at each stage before I eat anything.
I saw that, too. I think it depends upon what you order. A sandwich in a wrapper would then become a sandwich out of the wrapper without any bite marks. If a steak is just a steak in a to-go box, it would be shown as it is in there with the box lid open. Would you then show it on the plate you plan to use at home?

NinS, please let us know how the shop goes and if there are any comments when you get the grade. I've been waiting to get one of these curbside jobs, but I delay too long. I am thinking along the same lines as Shop, that they want a picture of the food in the take out bags, and then they expect you to put it on a plate, and then they want a picture then too. However, I have not seen the guidelines or any sample photos.
I was able to get one of the curbside ones also. I was also wondering about the pictures also.. I guess it is like when I do an Applebee's take about shop. I take the picture of the food inside and the bag and I take the pictures of the food with the lids off

I
One of the sample photos has two cartons. One of the cartons is open so you can see the food but the other is closed! One thing I noticed is that some of the photos have the TXR rolls (yum!) which seem to come in some sort of bag, so perhaps that's some packaging that can be removed for the third photo.
I was thinking about getting extra rolls. I remember an Mystery Shop I did an while back and I had to take pictures of the food. In the report, there was a place to upload extra photos.

How can I get two meals and any extra sides in two photos?

After the MSC company looks over the report and they send the report to the company, does the MSC send the pictures of the food to the company with the report or just the report?
