IPSOS $ 100 Bonus?

I received a e-mail Thur around 4 PM for a shop with $ 100 Bonus that is due Saturday. I applied for it and around 7 PM I was assigned the shop.

However, it is still showing the same base fee. I will be in the area and I can complete the shop..

I e-mailed the scheduler before I applied but no reply back. I am not sure if he assigned the shop or the computer assigned me the shop.

If he replies back tomorrow shall I ask for the $ 100 bonus or just let it be? May be it was $ 10 but they added one extra zero.

I am plan on doing the shop tomorrow.

Of course I'd ask about/for it!

It may be a genuine mistake, but $100 bonus is a $100 bonus! I'd definitely ask! smiling smiley
I actually saw a couple within 200 miles of me with that bonus amount. It was not a typo because the bonus was already $75 yesterday. Unfortunately they were in areas I will not be anywhere near. So, definitely pester (nicely!) for that bonus and keep the email that stated it.

Hello.

I just applied for the XXX shop for tomorrow morning and it is showing the regular pay of $ 14.

Will I still be paid $100 ?

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

His Reply

I'm sorry the shop is $17. The $100 shop were from last month and stated in the advertisement sent out.

So do you think I should go hire up or just let it be..

If they went to $100 last month they'll do it again. I'd wait for that, but that's just me. If you do it tomorrow you'll get $17 and it may have a rotation.
Edited. Sorry. I just saw the other post.

So the $100 one got assigned to another shopper? Now if you get that same location assigned to you, they're going to switch the date from what you applied for because there has to be a certain many days between shops.

Just saying, I am seeing on the job board different scenarios at the same addresses for the same dates, which cannot be done. And got jammed myself when I applied for a route. One of five got assigned for a different week, two weeks away. Luckily it was local so I did it without saying anything but it was not acceptable to me. The the next time they post dates then change them, I will ask to cancel whatever does not fit my schedule. They need to be clear on their dates, as do I. A little rant. Sorry.
The locations have to be shopped twice, with so many days in between. When I got the email and looked at the board, those locations were listed twice, with one showing $100 and the other showing $17. If you applied for the $100 listing, they should not have assigned you the other. It sounds like someone may have already snatched up the $100 listing. If that was the case and you really don't want to do it for the $17, explain nicely to the scheduler what happened and you should be okay, but do it asap.
I am glad that I received a timely reply. I was going to be in the area anyway so $ 17 is no big deal. I guess I missed the $ 100 shop buy a few minutes/couple of hours

I know some companies add the bonus to the shop before the report is completed and others add it after the shop is done.

I just checked my e-mail and it still there. So hopefully I will get full pay for this
Yes, $100 bonus is correct. I received one also, but the location is almost 350 miles from me unfortunately.
I got the same email but the closest one that was "in my area" according to the email was 500 miles away. I would use the link in the email and make sure the one you apply to is from that email. I applied to and got a $25 fee for a $12 shop a few weeks ago. The same exact location was also listed on the website at the base rate. One was a leftover from August and the other was a new shop for September probably..both included the same due dates. Good luck on the $100 ones. I am seeing more and more bonuses lately. Either not enough people wanting to go inside during the virus or perhaps many like myself having my unemployment check lowered by the amt of my fee making it a wash or at the most earning $25 that week for fees that add up to close to $200
I have a few that are in BFE that I often do for $100 or more [x]. Now I'm being told that there is no way a bonus that high will be approved, but can I do it for 1/2 [x]. Uh, no. Have fun paying 2[x] if you really need it done, or maybe they don't need every shop done.

I think that schedulers ought to be smart enough to know that if a location generally gets bonused to $150, the hope that it will be picked up for $17 is a pipedream. I'm going to be a block away on another shop, but not going to pick up a normal $150 shop for $17 -- or even $75. It sets a precedent, and next month, she'll offer me $75/2.

I just saw the first ever ecommerce shop in my area. I doubt they have had them much before as I can see the already scheduled shops that have not yet been done and when I have looked there were none there. But this one is for a grocery store that was torn down years ago. It is due today. Since I have never run into this situation before, if I take the shop will they pay me something to let them know there is no store there and what proof do I need to send. I generally just let them know for free but the current scheduler is not too fast to reply.
Providing information, even if its just letting the msc that there is no location, the location is closed, the location has been torn down, etc should never be free. Take it and get the closed fee. If nothing is there I would take pics of property showing nothing and next to it with address or nearby street sign. I am not sure so ask scheduler after taking it.
With these BFE locations the MSCs need to learn to pay for earlier in the period. If they wont make them pay up the ass when they are desperate. I saw one for $125 bonus that no one will do. Its in BFE BFE. I guarantee they don't get it done.

Exactly. If a location has a history of being bonused, odds are it's going to be bonused again. Offer 80% of the bonus early in the month when other shops can be combined with it rather than it costing 200% of the normal pay on the last day.

Shop123, that's just way too reasonable!

I can't seem to convince schedulers I'm helping them by working hard-to-fill locations early in the month.

See I have been doing this a long time. I have learned and feel that the MSCs don't allow their schedulers any money to get these shops scheduled early in the month or even mid month. They wait till there back is against the wall and then will barely bonus to even a fair amount. Then they get to the deadline and have to pay out the ass for their middle of nowhere locations. To all MSCs reading this work with your schedulers and shoppers and you would save money aka make more. Alas MSCs are some of the most pennywise pound foolish I have ever seen.

I was in an area from 9/8-12 that no one shops, about 400 miles from home. I was willing to add 9/13 & 14 to this for an MSC to get 15 total stations shopped for the current at that time incentive that was on the board ($20 per station). They only had the shops listed through 9/12 as late as 9/10, and did claimed they needed them done by 9/12 when I inquired before making the drive. (The shopping period goes through 9/30). They added 9/13 & 14 eventually on the evening of the 12th. One problem for them: Given their decline, I made an alternative arrangement for 9/13 to 9/14.

They continued to need shoppers for these locations through 9/27. And the last incentives I ever saw were $50 a piece. I hope someone made a killing on them.

Eventual "incentive cost" by refusing to let me shop them on 9/13 & 14- $750, at the least.
Incentive cost is allowing me to shop them on 9/13 & 14 when I was there- $300.
I totally, 100% agree. I explain and explain and explain that I will happily work shops into my routes early in the month for a reasonable fee.

It will save them stress and money (I know they are more concerned about the money!). I'm the ONLY shopper within 100 miles, and I know it!

I did a route earlier that took me 200 miles from home. One company had a shop, would have given me a meal while I was on the road, and I asked a reasonable $20. Nope. Well, upshot is, that shop just did not get done. Last day of the month, they called to see if I could work it in. It's 135 miles each way.

Frankly, my opinion is I'm doing THEM a favor doing the shop at $20 -- it's way below my minimum. I was on a route of 22 shops paying $30 each.

The above poster who said "penny wise, pound foolish" is just so very, very spot on!
I received email Thursday night of $150 bonused gas shop. The location is 6 hours from me one way. I offer crazy $450 to do shop. It got accepted my biggest ever single pay shop. It had to be done today so that was my day. Now they better accept the shop no real issues but you always worry on such a big shop. They could have got it done for $300 a week ago as there was a second shop paying big in the area but no. Anyway win for me but long day.

They aren't around Buffalo, either. Six hours away.

This one was not however I do have locations of the same brand near me. Like 5 min drive from my house.
