PV-500 button camera placement

I have the PV-500 Button Camera. I have gone out and purchased shirts just for this purpose. AND have ruined said shirts. Does anyone have any foolproof method to anchor the camera on the shirt without having to cut the shirts? I know that the buttonhole will have to be enlarged, no problem. Also, I have tried to tape the camera to secure it but no help. I do not want to have a shop rejected and I want the camera to be as covert as possible. I will appreciate any suggestions. I would really appreciate specific instructions "for dummies". I could not find a book with that title. LOL!

you need to first find a way to anchor the camera lens, including the button part, to your upper chest area centered, of course. I use a tight sports bra and attach the cam assembly to a popsicle stick, then make 2 slits in the sports bra to provide stability to cam....then use the shirt w/removed button. Keep the lens secure and in place before using the shirt.
Hope this helps.
If you're a guy, find a tight fitting spandex type shirt and make the proper modifications.
Thank you very much for your help. When you put it thru the two slits in the bra, do you tape it or velcro it to anchor it to the bra?
If you make 2 slits in center of the sports bra about an inch apart, you can weave the popsicle stick-cam into these slots on either side, so as not to damage cam or wires. I then use velcro to keep both ends in place from moving. Then the shirt goes on. Works like magic. Good luck.
This is great information, and I am excited to get started. I have another question. You are supposed to keep the back of the camera unblocked. How do you do that? I hope I am not bugging you. I want to be successful at video shopping.
I am happy to help. Someone helped me when I first got started, so I am playing it forward.
You do not want the cam to overheat. Don't tape it all up, just secure it as I suggested. I have never had my cam overheat, but I have had wires pull out accidentally. $$$ cha-ching !! the wires are delicate.
The idea here is to keep the cam from bouncing around, and to make sure it captures the target. Practice this.
Once your shop is done, carefully remove the cam, etc. and place it in a safe secure container to protect it.
Always test your cam B4 performing a shop.

Man, I always tape it up! I am happy to try some other ways to secure it. Its never on too long at once so overheating is rarely a problem (unless I forget to turn the dang thing off and it lets me know right quick!) My biggest issue is the bra choice for angles and my undershirt had to be the right weight fabric (a good quality t-shirt that was thrifted and originally from nordstroms) and for me, not tight or loose. The sacrificial shirts are a tough one. I'd sew a nice buttonhole behind the top buttonhole and you can sew button to bottom of shirt if you need to undo it later. If you are getting it laundered by someone else, make sure you tell them you don't need a repair or for the button to be replaced. My laundry lady kindly took care of it twice before I could tell her (someone else took the laundry in). This is a good place to learn things. Wish I would have before. I was an in-house MS and only got my info from my company.
You're going to have to cut a small hole in your shirt no matter what. Of course this renders the shirt unusable for anything else (think tax deduction for shirt). I have pictures and instructions for two methods of placing and securing the camera. One works for busty women. The other works great for men. If someone will explain to me how to post pictures here, I will post them with instructions. I could also post them on one of my websites if posting links are allowed in this forum. Or let me know if you know of another way to send them. The instructions are on the step-by-step pictures.
