patient point

have you guys been having success lately making appointments? it’s my first run back since covid began and it seems like a lot of locations aren’t doing them for now on, or at least temporarily, and a lot of offices have closed. this is a lot of money i/other ic’s/the msc won’t be making.

From my experiences since Covid, many employees are working from home. I am assuming that you are talking about business inspections, if so, the employees that you need to contact can come into the office so that you can get the necessary information and pictures. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
I missed out on Patient Point assignments in recent weeks because I was already booked and then had covid shot (which knocked me down for a few days). I will check back to find out how others are doing with these on-site assignments.

Some offices still won't let you come in but a number of them didn't remove the brochures. About 50/50 in my experience.
yea, i'm a little better than 60% right now at getting approval. most of the sites i do haven't been touched since i visited last in dec 2019. some of the ones that were done were botched pretty badly so it was probably the office doing it themselves or a new rep lol.
It's the offices doing it themselves. It's good when the boxes are shipped to us, because then they let us in because we have them. I've got a full round next week. It is going to be a tough week I have about 14 offices to do. I'm hoping to get the majority of them done and it will let me make money without having to go out of town on a route.
I’ve made two appointments. My first location had 11 racks. The office had me come right when they closed thinking I would be there for about 20 minutes addding brochures. The paperwork says 2-5 minutes per room. I had to remove all the old materials, unpack and add the new materials, manage the trash. How long has it taken some of you to complete a rack? Thanks!
Most recently, I completed an 8-room office in ~ 90 minutes. I did not time it, but I remember when I entered and noticed when I left. The most time-consuming tasks are opening all the packets of brochures and pulling/culling from multiple boxes so that there are enough of each type for all offices. (Some packets contain two to three times the number of brochures as others and can fill more slots.) There two tiny tasks take more time than emptying racks, filling them, and obtaining the required images.

I wonder if tptb would consider sending the materials to me so that I could spend time at home prepping everything and reduce my time on-site. Mind you, I usually have one office per month, which is not high volume. But my back would be so happy! I could wear my heels and reach the top slots without being on tiptoe and risking an outbreak of Morton's Neuroma! I would be there for such a short time, leave with happy back, and possibly fit in more gigs each day! But one per day is not very many units. Hmm.....

Yes, it is time consuming opening the packets- and peeling off the old Long sticker and peeling the back off of the new one. My first couple rooms at my first assignment took a while but I just complete 11 rooms in just over an hour at my second assignment, now I have a system! Lol.
Years & years ago, when another company did this, I used to service several different medical office complexes. Back then, ALL, and I do mean ALL, the product was shipped to my home!! There were times when I had THIRTY SIX BOXES of brochures delivered to my home. The GOOD thing about that was that I was able to open and sort all the boxes and get them ready for the different medical offices. Even slitting open the individual packets of brochures at home saved time when I was in the offices. So, one office had 7 rooms with brochure racks, and I would get there in the morning when the office staff did, and before the patients arrived, about 7:15 in the morning. I was done before 8 am. Another complex had 8 rooms with brochure racks, and I would get there at their lunch time at noon. I'd be done around 12:45-12:50 pm. And this includes even changing out the graphics on each of the racks. I had it down to a science!!! So yes, it can be a great help if y'all could get your brochures at home. But I reckon they don't do that anymore. I figure that having to do it all in the dr's office adds about 5 - 7 minutes per room. I don't do these anymore.
I personally prefer having them shipped to the office. If it is just one or two boxes, it would be fine. But I had an office with seven boxes that was delivered to me. By the time I hauled the new ones in and the old ones out, I was exhausted,

YES! This was the ONE aspect of it that I did not like. I would carry in two boxes at a time, and then carry out the old ones the same way. Then I had to find dumpsters in which to dump the old brochures. So yeah, that was a downer, but I figured it was better than hanging around the office(s) waiting for patients to leave and free up an exam room. Heck, I had one office complex that was located on a second floor, which meant using the elevator. So years ago I invested in a pulley-type cart and would put all the boxes on that and pull the cart into the building and up the elevator! That was a help. But I sure understand where you're coming from!

I did a round very early in the pandemic, interestingly with a higher appointment percentage than a more recent one.

I've got an app in for a very remote single rack location with a big bonus that I can incorporate into a loop I've already booked. Trick will be securing the appointment to coincide with the other stops.
i was able to go 17/23 on approvals for the run, i'll take that. a couple of the ones i couldn't get to though were for remodeling/permanant closures/etc. if locations are uncomfortable with paper, it helps to say that you could just put the qr code cards up so patients can scan it and view their brochure on their phone. that got me in the door in a couple locations i wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
One of the first offices I did had like 9 offices and the boxes were in one part of the office and the rooms in another and I had to hand-carry them clear across the building. Never again. I went and bought a rolling cart at Walmart, I use this one: [prntscr.com] It takes me five x the number of rooms in minutes. so nine rooms take me forty-five minutes. But I set up the app and empty all the racks and take pictures of the room door and the empty rack first. Then I come back I sit down and open the packages and then put them up and take the last picture. Sometimes I split the packets up and take them into the rooms first like if I need an empty box but not always.
Do those brochures have coupons for Ensure? Asking for a friend. A neighbor used to get them from a doctor's office but has not seen them in a while.
@sestrahelena: Anything for infants probably would be limited to a peds, OB-Gyn, or similar office. Other offices would have general information such as prescription discount cards and specific information such as topics for the medical specialty. I have not seen any coupons for baby stuff at my urgent care center. I do not see that at my medical specialty office. Hopefully, other merchandisers know more and will share it here.

@jay225: In one day and two cities, I placed the three posters that were sent to me, found one closed office for the time frame, and notated one non-existent office in a multi-specialty office. There was time for more locations on that day, but I ran out of posters. Next week, more materials will arrive and I will visit the remaining seven offices. It is easy!

I hope so. I thought it would be easy but I cut my toe open and haven't been able to walk very well. So I finally, got started today and everyone said that the office manager wasn't there today to come back Tuesday. One office told me everything goes through their corporate office in Tennessee. I didn't see much point in pursuing that location very hard because by the time I can talk to the corporate office we will probably be out of time. I think at least of the offices I went to today will accept the poster and I will need more. But I'm a people person so I don't mind talking to them and trying to explain what PP is and what it does.
