Has the MSC changed the procedure for these phone shops? The ones I've done in the past, you didn't have to rent, just had to go online, make a reservation, wait for a return phone message, then call them and have a recorded conversation.
I have only rented from ESS as part of a shop. Apparently my name gets deleted from their system when I do the cancellation/refund portion of the shop. I always do the cancellation portion immediately after I take pictures and do whatever else I need to do (while in my car still on their lot). Giving a different phone number or email is easy enough. I also use a different credit card just in case. None of the shops I have done required or gave me the option to pay by phone. I do not shop a location where I think the manager might recognize me from doing an audit there in the past.@BirdyC wrote:
