Gas station receipt does not match gas station

I did an audit for a gas station. I noticed the top of the gas station receipt says, "Health Care Inn" The charge to my credit card receipt says, "Health Care Inn" Most gas stations have the name of the station or the owners name. Does another company own the gas station? Are hospitals and insurance companies buying gas stations? I will contact the MSC about this.

I've seen gas station receipts have the name and address of another station in a different town. I presume they bought or transferred a used POS system and never bothered to reprogram it.

This has happened to me before. Although the name difference wasn't quite that extreme. Mine was the yellow brand on receipt and in reality was a wave/koala brand. They just never bothered to reprogram the card reader when they changed brands. Just contact your scheduler and let them know. I contacted mine and had no problem getting my audit accepted and paid. I have since done this same gas station at least 6 more times over the last year and they still have not reprogrammed their card reader. It could be the owner of the station has other businesses all going to same account for credit/debit purchases so they will all show same account name on reciept. Not the way I would do things with multiple businesses, but each to their own.

The last time that that happened to me I went to the wrong station - oops! Same street name, next town over. Sadly, I actually reported it and the editor caught my blunder. Oh well, with as many as I do it was bound to happen. At least the chocolate covered cherries that I bought were good and I was able to go to the correct location within the date range.

Would it be possible for you to use the GPS Verify app and get a location for that station? Then you would have proof to show the MSC that you were at the correct location regardless of what the receipt shows. Just an idea.

I did use the GPS. The shop has been approved.
