Handing your phone to a store employee to take a picture

I did a shop for a money transfer, and asked to find the store's fees for money transfers. The computer is behind a shield on the counter. I could not take the picture. The MSC has asked me to give my phone to the employee to take the pictures. I have done this shop before and have been told by the employees, I would have to fill out a form, giving them my personal information, so they could start the process of the transfer before they could tell me the transfer rates for each. Would you do that?

There is something about those money transfer shops that makes me very uncomfortable. It seems like we're trying to dupe somebody into doing something that they are not supposed to do. And I don't do shops that set people up to fail, Or to do something illegal.

No I would not do that. I don't see any reason why they need your information to tell you the rate. What if they dropped your phone and broke it? Would you be reimbursed by the MSC since they asked you to give the employee the phone? Too risky.
I have done these. One employee was happy to take the pictures. Usually you have to explain that there is an estimate button. Then they have to find someone who knows where it is and how to use it.

I had one manager boot me, said asking for prices was some sort of scam. Still got paid though.
I did 3 of these shops in one day last week. Each store had a different answer to the request for an estimate. One said they had a new system and no longer can give an estimate, and the manager agreed. That store manager said each store does it different...which is weird since this is a big chain. Next store gave estimate and took a pic with my camera, and the third just rattled off some random numbers as an estimate and said it was pretty close, because they couldn't give estimate without the receivers exact bank account!? I got paid on each, but after waiting for more than 20 minutes in line in one store, not worth it.
I did one of these shops and only one. They would not give me the info required without providing my info which I was not comfortable with. I also would, personally, not be comfortable handing a stranger my phone.

I got paid, which was surprising. But I won't attempt this type of shop again.
I have done a few of these, the responses from the big chain store employees are all over the place, but generally they are time consuming and not worth the paltry fee. I have not been booted yet - but I have been asked point blank if I was a mystery shopper.
