Gas station bonus $1.50?

With the cost of gas over $6 and all they offer is a $1.50 bonus. It's cheaper to just stay home.

When I first read it, I took it as the new "base" price...then I went to the job board...nope, "Bonus, $1.50"....good grief. I need $$ desperately right now - hubby was in the hospital for 105 days with Covid pneumonia, ARDS, multiple organ failure...it is hard to climb out of this hole, and I'm taking all the shops that I can...but I can't do stations with 8, 10, 12 or more pumps for base price. I just can't. The time it takes to do the report makes it so difficult.

With all the profits the gas companies are making, you would think they could afford to pay better. But it's all about greed.

I've been waiting for the bonuses to hit before I take anymore this month...but $1.50 ain't going to make me jump..are they kidding? The bonuses always started at $2.50 before this and that was just a "well ok, I'm going that way so I'll do it" type of bonus.

I miss the old companies nice bonuses.

I too read the email and thought they were increasing the base base. Still too low for me, but a start, I thought. Then on further insection it seems likely just a bonus, although one done earlier than usual in the cycle, iirc.

I miss them too. Bonuses were never an issue.

Omg. I just saw this on the board and came here to comment. I'm late, lol. Bonuses have been getting slower, and now they are getting smaller. But, thanks for the safety vest to add to my collection.

In my area someone took everything at base rate, even with the current gas prices. No way they are making a profit or anything else with gas prices here. So, I will stay home and they can have at it if they wish.
