Cell phone repair shops

I think I saw somebody say something about cell phone repair shops ? Can somebody tell me what mystery shopping company to look at?

My son's phone is trying to come unglued.. it's getting super hot, won't charge unless it's off or in airplane mode. He's already either closed or disabled and cleared the cache on most of his apps. Verizon is no help because it's out of warranty. Samsung said they would look at it and fix it or replace it, but we cant find my old LG V40 thinQ to transfer his number to..

A verizon employee suggested that we find a phone repair place to get the defective battery replaced at.. SOMEWHERE I saw a cell phone repair shop, but now that I need it, I can't find it.

I'm in the same boat. Luckily, my almost 2-year old LG V60 is covered under an extended warranty. I have my S7 with the Exploding Battery to get me by.

Last one I saw was for a SASSIE company. But they were doing a national repair chain and you had to use THEIR phones. The clients provided the phones to take and see if the location (franchisee?) would accept/do the work properly?

Those are the only ones I know of. Hoping someone else has something where we can use OUR phones.

Yes I see your point. I found the shop, at a naked company. Doesn't help at all. I never read what the shop was because I really wasn't interested in doing it, until my son's phone went haywire. He took it to a shop up North of here and the tech found the problem. They did a force stop on the app that was causing the problem, and then uninstalled it. He said his phone is charging and not getting hot anymore.

Honey, my 2 year old LG V60 ThinQ is finally paid off and working just fine. It was the expensive Samsung S21+ that he wanted when he paid off his Pixel 3XL. We have decided to upgrade to the Pixel 6 Pro (because of the camera). But I dont think I want to trade in my LG. So we most likely will have to wait for his phone to be paid off.

What is wrong with the V60?

What app? One of my V60s runs hot when i charge it wirelessly. I use the same charger and my other V60 does not get hot. It didn't even occur to me it might be an app but it would sure be nice if it was an easy fix.

The app that was causing the problem on my sons phone was one of those ones where you watch are you watch ads to make money. He leaves it run all of the time and every ad every ad pays a certain amount of money. Before he deleted it he cashed it out and sent me a $10 Gift card for Amazon. He has a couple of those apps that he switches between now and then. I told him he's not allowed to use that one anymore.

You did. I was still doing amateur shops around 2017 around Space Coast, Florida. iPhone and iPad screen replacement shops were around off and on. I was in to KSS and Maritz at the time mostly, for the frequency I recall seeing that type it had to have been on one of those two, if that helps.

Myself, I've saved an iPad a former roommate left that can boot...but it's covered in plastic tape due to the shattered screen. Also have an iPhone 11 I'd like to also get screen fixed. If you find one, feel free to let me in on it.

The issue we were having is taken care of, at least for the moment. The cell phone repair shops I saw were for phones that would be provided by the mystery shopping company, it wouldn't have worked for my son's phone anyway.

LG spent a lot of time in effort and finally made a really good phone. Great camera, great sound quality, Very reliable. And then they quit making phones. So now my options are keeping my two-year-old LG phone for as long as it lasts, or "upgrading" to a Google Pixel 6 Pro. Because i am NOT happy with the Samsung Galaxy S21+ that my son got when he finally gave up his Pixel 3.
It overheats when I charge it.

Mine too. I do have a temp fix for the summer. I bought a wireless charger for the car that clips on to the AC vent so when i drive and charge the vent cools the phone.

Honny, That's what my son's Samsung was doing. And hes already had it replaced twice for the same issue, under warranty of course. But now it's no longer under warranty, And the only device that has an extended warranty on it is the tablet.

My son's problem with his Samsung is that he does too much too, He keeps too many apps running all of the time, even when it's charging, and when hes on the phone too. It should be able to handle it, but Samsung hasn't actually fixed that issue yet. They just made it so they don't explode.
