Regardless of what the notes say, they do bonus on those. Just an FYI.

I am shopping less. Much less. Not because of gas prices, but because I’m busy with my 9-5 and personal life.
I at times shop at a loss for tax purposes. Or I shop the ink shops because I am going to buy clearance items at Staples or Walmart and the $8- $10 is just added money.

So, it's not just my area where the light blue and yellows are sleazy. Such a shame because the colors are pretty. One round, one of these stayed on the job board till it reached $100. Somebody must have struck a deal and I hope they got more than that. The problem? Someone just got shot and killed there that month. No surprise. It's a very scary place

With tacos required now, that doesn't even cover the meal.

Tacos? Where? Can I have tacos? lol

I meant to quote the $8, non-reimbursement, flat fee, Jack in the box shops that require the purchase of a sandwich, fry, drink, and two tacos. $8 wouldn't even cover that. They are pretty much bottom of the barrel as far as tacos are concerned.
I hope and pray that nobody does one of these for $8. I won't do them for less than $24, mainly because I'm doing it for the money and not the food. I don't eat most of it because I'm trying to be healthy. At $24, I can make $14 in profit. Apparently that company has been paying shoppers "too much" also. So they're going to go through some sort of process to try to lower pay until the shops don't get done and they end up having to pay more again. I just hope that people don't go along with it.

So basically, this is a shop where you are told what you can order, you get to make observations, probably have the pleasure of doing some timings, and get the privilege of filling out a report - for an $8 coupon? We do not have this chain where I live but it does not sound like you are exaggerating in the least about the fee not covering the purchase. I really believe that MSC's are in the process of trying to make shopping as a career a thing of the past. However, someone definitely will take some of these shops at the rate listed - most likely because it's on their way somewhere and it saves a few $$. Shoppers take all-inclusive gas station audits for $7. Sorry, thunder - just sayin' what I see...

You have several sandwich choices, but otherwise you are right. I don't know why people take them for $8 or $10. I guess they don't have anything better to do, and they need and want all of the food in the order. It's not a terribly difficult evaluation, but it does involve timings and several photos. There are quite a few questions but no narratives. I don't mind doing them at all when they get to the point where they are going to end up profiting $10 or more and I don't have any travel above and beyond where I'm already at. However, these are insulting at $8 or even $10 since they are flat-fee shops
I'm not a fan of JITB or Carl's Jr but if I had to make a choice, at the currently listed fee, I'd pick Carl's. At Carl's a comparable burger and fries combo is fully reimbursed and at least make $5. There are some timings but no pictures or taco purchase.
I think you are right in that some will accept JITB at the current fee because they are driving by or like the food, but in my area they seem to sit until their desperate mode bonuses click in.
I use to like JITB tacos back in the day, but they aren't like they use to be or my taste buds have changed.

Since I'm retired now from full time work, I focus less on dollars/hour and more on dollars/mile. Before gas prices went crazy, my motto was that my car doesn't move unless its $1/mile. I would on occasion break the "rule," but not often. Currently, I am still sticking to my $1/mile rule, with the difference being that I have not left my driveway for less than $1/mile, no matter how fun the job is, in many months. Tomorrow I have a 200 mile route for the gummie candy recall that will pay me $280. That's $1.40/mile, I'll take it.

Are these the Tacos that you hold up to a light and you can see through them? Or, is that a different shop that I am thinking of?
