XRG Reporting Nightmare

I haven't worked for the MSC in years but decided to try one of their shops. Big mistake! So many questions to answer for a simple restaurant and bar visit! Ugh!

Thank you, but where is the MSC link? Seems like it's a SW US or California based company from the link you sent. But who knows.
Well now we're in a spot. If XRG is the client they can't name the MSC.

I generally expect a lot of narratives with any restaurant shop. But of course cheaper / more casual ones are reimbursing less value so I wouldn't have an abundance of patience either.
The restaurant chain is based out of Southern California. It is NOT a large, national chain (less than 50 total locations). Some of their locations can get quite busy and people seem to have a good time there. I have dined many times, but it's nothing amazing. Think of it being like a Mexican Red Robin. Unlimited chips/salsa instead of unlimited fries. The food is not all that great and it is really overpriced. There are better options for Mexican food. The happy hour prices are pretty reasonable and you can get a discounted gift card at Costco ($100 for $80), so you are already saving 20%.

The one thing that is intriguing is that it is currently being shopped by 2 companies SIMULATENOUSLY and has been for at least 6 months. Both reports are brutal regardless of MSC. Way too many questions. The MSC prior to the pandemic was a breeze. Much shorter report and max 500 character narrative. There was no pay with prior MSC and the reimbursement was $50, but you could feed 2 for that. Now the reimburse is higher and there is $10 pay, but the report has to be at least 4x worse than it was before.

I even got a good bonus (more than triple pay) and still thought it was terrible writing it. I have done a total of 4 between the 2 MSC that are doing it now and really don't want to do it again. It's just painful. The funny thing is that I used to get upset at the prior MSC because the max character was 500 and sometimes I felt there was something they should be aware of it and I could not fit it all in.

The client must be happier though. They are getting a more complete picture of their operation and the shopper is the one suffering filling it all out. Just trying to figure out why they are paying 2 msc to do the shop and the same locations. the MSC are NOT working together to fill them. They are shopping the same exact locations each month.

Yes, 2 MSCs shopping XRG. I did one for the latter MSC to come along. First time visiting, but was not impressed. Considered fine dining but far from being so. XRG needs to get real. Report requirements and writing on par with the first MSC. Was OK but never opting to do it again.
So, you broke down and did it 4X because you were hungry? I hate when that happens and then you suffer with the never-ending report.
I did it just to try it. I have shopped that particular location multiple times over the years, for several different MSCs. The latest report was the worst one yet
Thanks for letting us know. It is like you all have said, either way too long or when some have the 500 character limit you have to keep trimming down the report to get the relevant information in.
The last time I did it (about 1 month ago) i felt for huge bonus I could tolerate it. I still hated filling it out and was asking myself WTF was I thinking.

I only did it 1x for the MSC that BusyBeeBuzzBuzzBuzz did it for. I won't do it for them again. My dumb butt will probably fall for it again with the MSC willing to pay $30 or more.
