I emailed the scheduler and asked her the question of: Does the order taker say their names in their greeting? As the suggestions
says to say, "what is your name again"? I can't use the word "again" if they
never say their names.
Do you have any suggestions to casually asking for their names if they don't
initially say it? If not, I don't feel that I would successfully be able to
complete this shop and may need to cancel it.
She emails back and say, "You can say, "What is your name again?" Even if he did not say it. Or you
can ask, "What is your name, I would like to compliment you."
Which wasn't very helpful. I will go ahead and try it, but I'm not going to like it and you're right people don't normally do this and I'm an awkward person as it is, so I am definitely going to be nervous. I may just say, they didn't give me their name after I asked.
