McDonald's Mystery Shop - Anyone try this today

I am willing to do more, but mine have said "waiting on review) for almost a week. I'd like to know that I did the others right before I do another lengthy one!

So Mine were waiting for review for a week and now that I got it back it says they want more photos even though I gave them all I could get. Two drinks were sold out and the individual price views of those were not available. When you clicked on them in the kiosk the images did not come up so I took a generic photo. THe reviewer didn't specify which drink. I have an email in but haven't received a response.
I actually didn't get to do the shop, plans changed.

@ShoppingDad @OEShopper So what did you think about the Mobile task and how long did it take?

Can you do the screen caps from home since you are mobile ordering and just check in when you are there to pick up your food?

I just did a delivery app one, and this might be the most painful mystery shop I've ever done. Tons of pictures and manual entry of prices. I can't say that everything is accurate, maybe that's why it takes forever to get approvals.

I didn't realize coffee and shakes were included, they were in a different section of the uber app and the guidelines only said to go to beverages.

I'm curious to see how the client actually uses the results sometimes.
Did anyone else receive an email from the msc about these McDonald's shops? They highlighted how easy these shops are and that people are doing 20-30-40-50 of these shops. I burst out laughing after reading that! There is a reason why the MSC needed to send out an email to get more shoppers!

Did the reimbursement amount cover the whole cost of the delivery shops? It seems very low to me.
I emailed that person 5 times and they never replied to me. They are completely unprofessional.
I saw that too! The thing is: if people do not pick them up they might reconsider their expectations, and change the shop or the pay.
I actually replied to the email telling them they should worry about recruitment of editors not shoppers.

I didn't get the email. Does anyone know how to filter the results in the app so that a certain job does not appear, like McDonald's. If you look at the map on the app you think there are tons of opportunities, but they are just McDonald's and are counted multiple times per store due to a Kiosk, Lunch, Dinner, etc. shop
It's almost like the MSCs don't do a dry run of their shops before releasing thousands of these into the ether... There are simple changes they can/should make to their report and guidelines to make this easier for their shoppers and increased data quality for their client. If an MSC reads this, feel free to discuss with me smiling smiley
I was looking at a delivery this morning. I didn't have time to pick it up, and I went back to study on it first before I decided if I was going to pick one up tomorrow. From what I can see, there are right at 65 drink choices at the one near me. To get the different prices, you have to click each one individually, and then variously click on Small, Medium and Large to get all the prices. With that along with the other required photos, it looks like there will be well over 200 pictures for me on this one.

There is a $9.00 reimbursement. There is no way that is going to cover the cost of the food, taxes, and the various delivery service costs, much less a tip. They have the pay posted at $20 in my area, but I could swear it was $25 this morning. Maybe I looked at it wrong, or maybe they are thinking on it. I have been thinking on it too. If you move along at a good clip and allocate one minute for each photo and the required prices, that is going to be well over three hours just on the photos. That does not include the report or placing the order. I really like doing the various delivery shops, but I think I am going to pass on this one. I also read every comment in this discussion, and I appreciate them all.

Update - My shop now says accepted after I clicked off one of the out of stock items and resubmitted. Still no reply though.
This is the last one of these I am going to do.

Has anyone gotten a shop revision stating "We require all individual beverage pictures showing the prices for different sizes."

Although guidelines for the longest have stated you will be assigned one size and will be required to submit photos of those prices.

Mind you this isn't the first of these shops Ive done in the last few weeks.
Pictures taken during each one prior were taken identical during this shop and all those were accepted
I did not take a shop, but the guidelines I read yesterday for a delivery assignment were very clear that they wanted pictures of the prices for the different sizes. The catch on that one, at least with DoorDash, was that you had to click each size to get the price for it. You couldn't just click on an item and see the prices for the different sizes.

They’re sitting on the app gathering dust and cobwebs for $20 each all around me. You’d think the client would be just a BIT upset about this, wouldn’t you?
They are gathering dust in my area too, @ColoKate63, as well they should. After all the discussion, I wanted to dig a little deeper before I took one. The way I am figuring it, the payment on this one doesn't come anywhere close to minimum wage. It is going to take hours to get done, and shoppers are having to go back in droves after editing, in hopes that they will even get that little bit.

At this point even if they offered a really good pay, I still wouldn’t do it because of the way their editor completely disrespected me. I’m curious how this plays out for them. I wonder if they ever find this thread!
@ColoKate63 @GinnyLynn I think they messed up in several ways with this job. How do you not run a couple of tests to make sure everything for this job works with the app? Seems so basic. The app took our crisp clear photos and messed it up and had the reviewers throw the eval back to us to fix it. You would think at least one of the reviewers would've mentioned the issue with photos to a higher up since so many people here had problems, unless they get paid extra to question shops, then there wouldn't be an incentive for them to alert anyone.

I would've done more of the first wave if they didn't throw my shops back for unclear photos and if they didn't ask for so many beverage prices (that info is in the pics). I did 4 or 5 from the first wave and I eventually got paid on all shops, but the time involved fixing photos (not sure that they were really fixed) was not worth it for $10. I tried one site for the second wave at $20 while in limbo on the first wave shops, but my luck was they did not have a kiosk. I took pictures and clearly laid out the lack of the kiosk and the shop was rejected. Other people here citing the umping back and forth between photos and the app scare me away since that is a huge time waster.

Why should we be penalized if the site does not have a kiosk? Doesn't McDonald's have a list of locations that have/don't have kiosks? Like I've said before, this is information and it has to have some value. It isn't fair for them to say zero pay for a kiosk job and there isn't one there when you arrive. Are they going to say we should've called ahead to verify that they had one?

There are so many of these McDonald jobs on the app, that is why I was wondering if there was a way to filter out these jobs so I can see what legit assignments are out there when I am on my phone.
@heywave Most of the time, I work from a desktop computer, and seldom use the phone app. There is a filter option on the website version of Presto, but I have never actually used it. I just tried it to answer your question though. You have the option to ask to see results from a certain company or to hide it from your results, and it seems to work. On the app, look for the filter right above the map on the top right.

@GinnyLynn Thank you I know how to filter to include or exclude results on the website. I just haven't had luck on the app although it shows that the feature is there. If I am out for the day, I will pull up the app to see if there is something nearby, but for the last month the map is flooded with McDonald's jobs and makes it harder to see other jobs.

I asked a couple of editors how to improve my McDonald's pics so that the job doesn't get tossed back and create more work for both of us and of course they don't answer that question or refer you to someone that can give you guidance. I explained that I have not had an issue with any pics before using the app for other jobs -- crickets. They were able to see my receipt photo.
@heywave I found the filter option on the app, but I wasn't able to figure out how to use it from my phone either.

The client isn't McD though, but the giant beverage company. It irked me so much when I showed up to a McD and the location was permanently closed and when I reported it as so, the reviewer denied payment and said I should have remove myself from the shop if it was closed. It's not too much of a big deal for me since I was in the area anyways, but it's the principal of the matter. the kicker is that the shop is STILL listed on presto!

Wonder if the editor assumed this is the case for kiosk ones. As the kiosk guidelines for the one i did still stated only one price is being sought based on size assigned. Or didnt bother to review what type of assignment it is.

I havent done a delivery one because the pay isnt worth it. You barely get reimbursed what you'll spend in total. Then in addition have all the work you need to do. Sure it may be screenshot photos but it is a lot of time, work. On top of the horrible way the questionaire works. Have to do a ton of work, editing, filtering etc just to allow upload. If delivery requires all size prices, it means even more work. Sounds like they are trying to minimize assignments by getting one person to do all the work in one to collect their info. Noticed a lot of the mobile-pay ones were removed. And more delivery added

Did the exact same shop for same mystery shop but it was for another burger place (greasy sliders). Same photos required for the Coke Freestyle beverages. I took close to 30 photos. Report was tedious and long. Then I find out that they rejected my report over 1 photo that was in fact one of the photos stated in the guidelines. I’ve been a shopper for 11 years, have done close to 1,000 shops and I’ve only had 3 rejected reports…this being one of them. It felt like the msc was looking for an excuse to not pay. I’m fairly certain they used my report, although obviously I cannot prove it.
There are so many listed on the app near me it makes the app useless for trying to find anything else in my area to do.
Welp, maybe the client is tired of this MSC, because I just received an email for the exact same shop through a different MSC (Sassie but not completed through Presto). I am curious how this one is in comparison.
Ope, I didnt realize that the two MSCs merged so they are one in the same. BUT, it looks like you can do the same shop on Sassie instead of Presto so maybe that would help a little to cut back time on data input.
