My brother is my usual dining partner and he hates seafood so the Red Lobster shops previously weren't appealing to me. I had an evening movie to stream so on a whim I did a take out Red Lobster just for me. It was between 3 and 8PM. There wasn't a selfie requirement and the photos required weren't worse than other take out shops. I got the Crab your Way, a pound and a half of steamed crab with roasted potatoes and broccoli with 4 cheese biscuits. I ordered online for curbside pickup. I placed the order at 3:30 for 4PM pickup. I took a picture of the online confirmation, the bagged food, opened the bag and photographed the containers, opened and photographed containers, closeup of entree, and pic of the receipt. Even with tax and tip I was under the reimbursement by $14. I could have gotten an appetizer or dessert but didn't want them, too much food for me and would have gone to waste. With an appetizer, it would have easily served 2 people. Easy report. I enjoyed it, felt stuffed and happy. I would do the take out again and recommend it, but I won't consider the dine in shops.
Has anyone tried using the Rewards with the new MSC? It is not mentioned in the guidelines. THX
Previous months said that we could not use or earn points with the rewards program. I haven't seen the guidelines for this month.

This MSC said at their big "shop talking" seminar in Austin that the selfies for the cell phone shops were for them only and not passed along to the client. Possibly - I'm convinced that the MSC is testing out some type of facial recognition software to try to catch people who have more than one account and stop them from double-dipping on shops. It'll eventually get to the point where a selfie will be a requirement for every one of their shops.

As my grandmother used to say - "mark my words."

Someone must have flaked on a RL takeout shop near me, since it's posted with a $50 bonus (the location is listed twice) I have no interest in doing it, but I'm impressed with the bonus for the leftover shops. This one is in a fairly popular area, the others are in more rural locations that they always have trouble filling.
How can you have more than 1 account and double dip since you have to verify your SSN in Sassie?

I could see someone getting more shops by shopping under a friend profile, so the facial recognition would catch the same images for 2 different profiles, but I do not see how the same person could have 2 sassie profiles themselves since SSN verification is necessary. Unless you are saying the SSN part of the profile isn't really verified and you can enter any random numbers in it.

That is exactly what I mean.

Anyway, I overcame my weirdness about selfies for the benefit of free seafood. That being said, I've had ONE great shop, great food, great service, and a really good manager that supports his employees and sets them up for success. I've had one that was marginal, great service, BAD food.

This last one is by far the worst, and I feel so very sorry for the waitstaff in that restaurant. ALL of the seafood was severely over cooked. Rubber Calamari, Rubber Shrimp, strange tasting sauces that don't match the descriptions. Waiting over an hour for our meals, and the poor waitress is begging for help and the manager is deliberately throwing her under the bus for the kitchen's mistakes. 2 hours, no edible food, the waitress quit, and the manager voided my entire ticket. All I have for my report is pictures of the food and the table top kiosk with the bill all forked up, before the manager just voided the whole thing.
I am very fortunate the 4 RL that I shop are all well-managed and consistently have good reports. Under the appetizers, they have added a shrimp cocktail that has HUGE shrimp (oxymoron there). But they were awesome. Will be re-ordering.

I love Red Lobster but I am not crazy about shrimp.

Been a minute since I've gone but the flounder there was excellent as I recall.
I love flounder!! I'll have to look for it on the menu next time. They have to be able to cook something correctly. I love calamari, I don't understand how they can ruin it so completely as they did at that restaurant yesterday.
