red lobster shops

they are probably under the Ishopfirst part and there is no assigned scheduler. They will just drop the shop off your log when the date passes like they do for their other clients.

Hi. There is a selfie required now. The guidelines have changed. That's why it's important to read the guidelines every time. Even if it's the same month. You want to make sure you get paid smiling smiley
They don't tell you about the selfie until you take the shop and read the guidelines. That is not right me.
They said they need it as a secondary form of proof. I have done hundreds of mystery shops and none have required this.
If a picture of the building is required for secondary proof (I'm guessing the receipt is the first), why not ask for a geoverify code? There is a space in SASSIE to add it on almost every shop I do.

Or the geoverify stamp on the pictures like some other MSCs do
@Niner wrote:

I offered that.

Talking about the MSC asking for that not the shopper.

I asked the MSC if that could be an option instead of the selfie for a second form of verification.

I recently completed three restaurant shops for this MSC and they didn't seem to need a selfie.

My guess is they want to check your report against the cameras inside.
They can check whatever they want without me in it. In the restaurant near my house we would probably be the only white people in the place either customer or staff member. I could just write only white people and they would know it was us without a selfie. I am not taking any darrn selfies- they can keep their stupid requirements- picture of fish tank and rest room? Give me a break! The selfie would need a large sign on forehead that said MYSTERY SHOPPER if you did that.
Wonder when we will see the "selfie" requirement added to the Panda Express or Sonic shops.
Selfie added then shops not going to be taken - no selfies for me- I am too old and not good looking to take selfies of my wrinkled face and body!
I asked them to remove it. I'm not doing it. They said it's only for them. Why was it not required for every other restaurant shop? I also did loads of these for the old MSC. There was no selfie requirement. I hope this does not hurt my shopper score. There was no way to know this until after accepting the shop.

The day before I quit doing those shops.

I hate when the mass email does not list all the require information.

I remember one the time the mass e-mail said something like

Dinner at XXX.. Must order drink, entrée, and desert. Take require pictures. Must sit in dinning room. Fine no problem..

I read the guide lines inside the report and it said " Must order at least 1 alcohol drink, (can not be water), entrée, and desert and take the require pictures.

I don't mind getting tea when I go out to eat, but I not buying any alcohol what so ever .

Yes, I know I can take it to the bathroom (which sounds gross) and pour it down the sink or other things but I am not doing it.

I also hate for the server to come buy and they see a whole glass of alcohol on my table and ask about it.. Then even though it is in the picture with my food, the sever takes it off and my report is rejected even though it is in the picture.

ETA: When I think of drink, I think of tea, or soft drink... I email the scheduler asking if they can remove the shop because I don't drink alcohol and they removed it no questions ask..

The most ridiculous thing I have done with the alcohol was to ask for the alcohol on the side with some frozen drink. I don't drink alcohol either. I poured the alcohol into the water glass.
I don't really care if all the requirements are not spelled out. But I do care when a goofy "selfie" is required which I cannot think of from any other shop I have done. That is an "outlier" requirement that needs to be stated up front, but it seems like plenty of people are willing to do it because there are no shops for RL on the board here in So Cal.

There are plenty of things you can do with the alcohol to get rid of it without it being difficult to complete the shop.
None here either.. but the young folks don't seem to have a problem with selfies. I tried, I have never been able to take a flattering selfie. So I don't.
What could they possibly need a selfie for other than to share it with the client to verify something on video or show it to your server to verify a detail? I do not buy this "second form of proof" that is "only for the MSC."

Just make sure you keep your mouth open wide with your tongue stuck out as far as you can. And make some sort of strange finger signs with your free hand.

THAT'S how you take a flattering selfie or so the young people think.
I understand where a lot of you are coming from but would like to offer a different perspective. We just got back from a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster. We took all the pictures (including the strange bathroom picture-making sure no one else was in there- and the selfie) and gave an honest report. We planned it out and spent just over $75 and even had food to take home. The report wasn't hard and I felt like it was well worth it.
This is what the MSC is banking on. That people will be okay with it. Once you provide your picture...it no longer is a mystery. I don't provide my picture for any other shop I do...I'm not going to start with this one.

I have had an MSC ask what I wore on a shop so they can identify you if a report is challenged. I don't mind that as much. Brown hair, blue jeans, black polo.

If they need a second form of proof and since they are always checking the metadata on the photographs...One could take a screenshot of their personal log-in screen with the MSC, in between all the other photograph requirements. That would show you were there at that very minute, when comparing the pictures, instead of a stupid, invasive selfie. Or send an email with a photograph of the table you are at or something else in the restaurant attached to the email while onsite. Or even a picture of the card you used with a napkin or something covering the first 12 digits of the card number, unless you used cash. The selfie has to be for some other reason that is not necessary, just nosey.
They're now doing take-out shops. I took one, only to find that it only reimbursed for a single entree (from their list) and drink, even though it was listed with a $60 reimbursement (you need to take a picture of a second entree if ordered, but they won't pay for it). I told them to cancel it, I'm not driving 30 minutes to end up with dinner for only one of us.

I saw the take out shops, but I got there late and the closest one available was over 2 hours away.

I have one of the RL take-outs scheduled for later this week. I found the email vs the actual requirements ambiguous regarding what you could order as well. I could get a decent meal for my son and me both for the $60, and that seemed to be indicated as a go in the recruiting email. However, when you get to the guidelines, which you don't see until you accept, you read about it only actually covering one entree. Being as it is a first on this one for me, I'm going to see how it goes, but I tend to avoid the Panda Express shops because the strict ordering requirements combined with the distance away do not make for a really productive shop for my household, as in too much trouble for what it's worth. We'll see though. The jury is still out on the RL.

I'd missed out on the in-person shops so I was pleased to find the take-out shop still there. Having read this thread I'll avoid the other ones, too.
Meanwhile, when I asked them to unassign it, they told me (twice), "This program is currently using (another platform) – a self-assign only period. If you are not able to complete the shop, it will automatically fall off your account after the due date. After that time, you can reclaim it with a new target date (just like Presto!). Excessive shop cancellation across the board may impact your ability to partner with (company name)."

I don't see how this is possible since it's assigned via Sassie, but I asked them twice to take it off and both times they told me no, so it will sit assigned to me until Thursday I suppose. I actually had it scheduled for Friday but just moved it, so it will go away sooner.

Sorry, another duplicate (the board is very slow today)

One thing you can do to get a shop taken off sooner is to change the date to the current date. Then it will be cancelled by morning.

The only available dates were Thursday and Friday, so I made it the earliest that I could. And I know that's the case with Presto, but not with Sassie shops. But I guess I'll find out.
