Sonic Fee reduced to $9.00.

I just saw that the Sonic fees were reduced to $9.00 from the previous $10. I suppose they will all be snapped up quickly and we can look forward to the fee being reduced to $8.00 after a few months.

I saw $9 and was trying to remember what it was before. Wasn't sure it went up or down. I don't really do these. Maybe 4x since the big "I" took over.

There does seem to be enough new people coming on board that they feel they can get away with it.
So it's not all bad news :-P

I saw $12 and knew that had gone up. Forgot what the pay was when I saw $9. Confused it with the Panda that were $8. I should have known they would not likely increase, but rather decrease.

It's all bad news in my estimation. When I did these, I never exceeded the reimbursement, so that is a non-factor for me. It may make a difference in NY and CA. But the fee is what you're being paid to do it, so this continual race to the bottom in regard to fees is not good for anyone.

Yeah. The last thing I need is a BIGGER burger, potatoes and soda when I'm already driving around with 3-7 bags of it in a day!
But I can see the higher reimbursement being an incentive for someone to take the lower fee early in the month when they're out on the road and really hungry. "Ooh, if I shop that Sonic, I could have a burger...with bacon!"

Can u even order the burger combo for $9? I think u can only do one of the hot dog ones maybe. Hard pass
Depends on the area. Prices vary. Around me, a cheeseburger or hot dog combo with no extras and tax stays under $10.
I remembered having completed my last Sonic in Sept. of 2010, so I checked my log book and discovered I was paid from $10 to $15, dependent upon the MSCs need, + $6. In addition, no pics were required nor were there specific ordering requirements. Those numbers existed for the entire two yrs. the company was contracted with the client.
There was also much more required commentary then and chicken was always on the "do not order" list. The onion rings were the good kind, then, too! Not the minced cardboard they changed to at some point.

With $12 reimbursement there isn't much on the menu that will go over. I have been getting one of the most expensive sandwiches on the approved item list and eating the extra $0.29 cents. But I don't do Sonic without a bonus anyway. I am a little disappointed in the reduction in pay. Which just means the bonus will have to be even higher before I make myself ill eating crappy food.,
I just saw the $9. It's upsetting because they are lowering all of their fees, making me have to wait for bonuses. If they offered a decent pay to begin with, more would be taken, and they would save money by not having to pay so many bonuses. Just don't make sense to me.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Just a quick FYI...Tuesday is 1/2 off cheeseburgers (single patty) at some Sonics. So if the price of the burger is prohibitive; wait til Tuesday. You get a combo for like $7. Every little bit helps I guess.

As for the reduction/addition...it's the laws of supply and demand I guess. More people are doing side-gigs so there are more shoppers. More competition means tighter margins. Tale as old as time.

1/2 Cheeseburger Tuesdays are only for online and app orders.
HARD PASS for me since it was NEVER about the food, as long as the reimbursement covered the purchase. I haven't done any in 2023. The resident challenge individual, I passed the bags to has also moved on. I also did one that was bonuses to $20 last week but didn't. I guess those $30, $50 &. $70 bonuses are a thing of past. Good while it lasted.
I guess they're going the "Raising Caine" direction.

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
That is not part of the ordering requirements.

I see five guys MSC is now copying the Sonic MSC. The newly posted five guys shops for end of september went from $10 pay to $9 pay.

they must be thinking, if you cannot beat them, then join them.

Wow, I haven't seen that yet. I was already eating into my pay with a little cheeseburger, little fries and small drink. The reimbursement of 17.25 doesn't cover that where I'm at.
I'll wait til the pay goes up mid-month. At least now I'll get reimbursed for my jalapenos add-ons haha
Whats worse is i did a few of these for $100 each. Thats a huge profit margin they have going on these. Many times ive seen locations someone drops right at end of the month up for $50. They seem to reducing fees on several projects.
I also noticed that.

The last time I did a Sonic shop, my burger combo was at $ 10 and s=an few cents

Keep signing up with MSCs. It is a large company often mentioned on this board.

Thanks. Guess i am missing it somewhere. Havent seen a company mentioned. Ill keep searching.
Sonic burgers imo are the worst of the fast food chains. I guess their tots and hotdogs save them, but as for me only the milkshakes get me in there once or twice a year.

As for the new pay, they got a lot of people who at first glance may have thought they raised the pay…..but they think they’re clever and they are, because people will settle for it.
I did my first sonic shop yesterday. it was super easy. problem is there arent too many around me
Their burgers are terrible. They don't taste like beef. I don't think there sides are mush better. The cherry limeade and Red Bull slushies are great though.
