Perfect $10 Visa route

I've been reading numerous responses regarding the $10 Visa debit Mystery Shop jobs. While the job may seem somewhat awkward, if you can overcome that initial discomfort, it presents a lucrative opportunity. Initially, my wife and I completed 3 to test the waters, and all 3 were accepted. As we gained more experience, we attempted 8 more, and once again, all were accepted. 2 days ago, we completed a route of 29 consecutive shops. We havent gotten anything back so far. To be honest, I approach each shop confidently, holding my phone up, and take all the required photos, no matter how awkward it may feel at the time. This is the best advice I can offer. Tomorrow, we plan to complete 100 more. Stay tuned for updates on Presto. I see a lot shoppers taking the easy location instead of just doing the whole route properly. Shame on you for making a mess of things. Jk of course.

Shame on you? Properly? You are joking, right?
A mess of things? Those last two sentences were not necessary. I was going to congratulate you until I read those sentences.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Okay, I see you edited in that last sentence! Wow, 100 would be unbelievable. Good luck! It definitely helps to have a partner. And I agree, you do have to be brazen and I just don't have it in me. What are your strategies with businesses you have no business in? I think with 100 you might hit some road blocks.

"Perfect" and "$10.00." LOL. What an oxymoron.
I've seen some places, like insurance businesses or other unusual locations, and I tend to avoid these places. However, when it comes to nail salons, barber shops, and other awkward locations, after a while, I become less concerned about the attention. I'll keep you updated on our progress tomorrow.
Lets see. No one is taking the shops because the pay is way too low. the guidelines read like a choose your own confusing adventure book and the rejection rate is super high. So suddenly we have a brand new participant on here telling us how great they are? And making a snide remark about routes. And happens to mention one of the types of business (insurance) that used to be listed in the guidelines as a place that could be marked as unshoppable for $5 pay (of course that has all been removed, why pay shoppers $5 to do the QA work that the MSC can't manage to do?) And...the editing time on these right now is 7-10 days, so a route 2 days ago is just a twinkle in some editor's eye at this point. #Fishy!

Shopper just like you, no need to accuse, im just trying to fit in to the conversation. The way I perceive this project is influenced by the number of clients and the abundance of available jobs in the United States. It suggests that there might be a significant shift on the horizon, originating from some direction. To be honest, even if they had offered just $5, I would have eagerly taken on these tasks. For me, it's not so much about the money as it is about accumulating a track record. In an environment where there's been a fair share of negativity surrounding this project, consider the impact one could make by consistently delivering positive outcomes. That's why I'm eager to take on as many tasks as possible. In this industry, your value is often measured by your ability to produce results. #keepshopping, my friends!
lhtss.com---I am in the Chicago area and saw about a dozen of these shops. Care to tell us where you are that you picked up ONE HUNDRED to do in a single day with a partner?
I was out your way a month ago for Exxons and Marathons. I'll tell you, just check the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. I'm attempting around 100 shops every day, constantly stretching and pushing the limits of what shoppers believe they can achieve.
Taking shops on Presto, for this MSC, does not build up your rating or credibility with them. There are no schedulers that work on these projects, and that is who you build the credibility up with. So for heaven's sake, don't take them (or anything!) at $5, as you would quite literally be telling this MSC that they can pay even less...thats the mark you would leave with them. No more, no less.

And 100 shops per day on the same Presto Profile is neither time possible as you must be in the establishments when they are open, nor operationally feasible. Assume you have 14 hours of retail time to work with, thats 7 shops an hour. Leaving no time to drive, enter, actually do the shop, etc. And I'd wager Presto will flag you for even trying.
I will push my limits and keep you all updated in my findings.
Takes A LOT more than $5 for me to push my limits and my gas tank in a situation of high risk of rejection. Shoot, I had no patience with counting all those McDonalds drinks on the screen knowing it would get rejected....and I didn't even need to interface with other humans on that one.

Lhtss: keep us posted and keep your positive energy. Most of us will still sit back and reject these.
What are some of the common rejection reasons you are seeing?
I used to do these shops a lot back when we were allowed to purchase something no matter what. At that point I felt they were very worthwhile. In my market (Los Angeles) I never found anywhere charging a surcharge or a minimum for a debit card so I think here where I live, if they were more lucrative, it might be easy to just do a bunch and not get into trouble for wrong reporting.
Glad you enjoy doing these, this project is really just one big client, which is Visa - not sure what kind of shift you see on the horizon here. This forum, generally, is not in agreement with taking on shops at base, or even lower like $5, and collecting valuable data for large, billion dollar companies. You have to consider your overhead as an IC - using your vehicle, your device, data plan, your time, covering your own taxes, etc. I implore you to consider those costs as you do these shops, or any shop in the future.

Let's not forget that when a certain, unknown to us, quota of shops are claimed, all the blue pins disappear.

Joanna, i do not want to disagree with you but you do not speak for the forum. Where I live there are thousands of shops and almost all are at base. The so called routes I occasionally get offered has one shop 30 miles from me and the other 10 shops 500 miles from me spread out many many miles apart. For that they often offer no bonus or $2 extra per shop. Usually any bonus I see is only a few dollars and it means driving almost an hour each way to earn $12 instead of $10.
I have never seen a bonus on the presto shops for Visa, in fact there are none left in my area today. My location is saturated with shoppers who take everything the minute it hits the boards. Like locusts. I see very little worthwhile. So speak for yourself. There are many reasons people shop and bonuses is not one of them in my area.
Sandy, That's why I used the term "generally" to imply that MOST of us don't jump for jobs like this. I know everyone has different circumstances.

I can’t do them because I did some insta shops for Presto and they couldn’t figure out how to pay me. It was only $15, but why do any work for them when I know I won’t be paid? My shops were accepted and paid, but the $$$ never came to me. Some PayPal problem; presto said I had to straighten it out with PayPal, PayPal said ONLY presto could straighten it out.

We only ended up doing 35 I tapped out at around 2:00 p.m..
Hmm. I can't say I have any issues with pay with presto. I've honestly never heard of this I need to interact with this form more often.
I have acquired nearly a decade's worth of experience in this industry, and I have no intention of leaving it anytime soon. From handling routes for BP, Shell, Exxon, and even the newer Wawa routes, I've covered a wide spectrum. I regularly work on platforms like Presto, Gig Spot, and even secret shop for Ipsos. I approach each assignment from a customer's perspective, understanding the impact on clients. Work opportunities come my way every day, and I'm fully booked, even with an NFL shop on my schedule for tomorrow. Long story short we are not the same at all and I got the numbers to prove it. Unless you can outroute me and out shop me(With no revisions)I wouldn't talk.

By the way, LHTSS stands for "Learn How to Secret Shop," and perhaps someday, I could even teach you the ropes.

So why are you even on this forum?
They've been on this board for at least a year but with only about 10 posts, most, or possibly all on this thread. I didn't check before I responded.

I agree 100 is probably impossible, but I've only done one of this type shop.

35 might have been all they could have completed in a day. It sounds reasonable. But I'm not judging. But it's still an impressive 1 day accomplishment and payday.

Like ColoKate said plenty of shoppers have come and gone. Slow and steady seems to win the race for most on the board.

But I would like to add, I believe most shoppers here would prefer to do 5-6 $30 shops in one day for the same pay.

However, if $20-30 shops aren't available near you, you either take what's there or do no shops and make no money.
I gotta say, OP's enthusiasm and it's-so-easy tone, along with steadfast belief in this project's requirements smacks of those overly simplistic and condescending how-to video tutorials offered by the MSC. I kinda picture a wink and heel click at the end of each post. Maybe a triumphant thums up.

It doesn't sound like a real person wrote these posts. If it is, good for them. They're getting what they want and that is great! I'm leaning more towards a propaganda bot, though.
