Gender pronouns

It's funny how nitpicky mysteryshopping@treatyoulikecrapMSC.com is for this client, yet they don't care when it comes to others. I know we'll never have uniformity across the board among MSCs, but at least let's decide one way or the other at each MSC and stick to it. This "which way do they want it on this one" thing gives me whiplash.
That's because different clients of the same MSC want the reports written different ways. The MSC isn't going to tell the client, "We have a uniform writing style across all clients and you're just going to have to get in line with the other clients." That's not how it works.

My English teachers told me never start a sentence with "and,"but," or "or." And they told me to never split infinitives. It is "to go boldly," and never to "to boldly go." They also told me never end a sentence with a preposition. It is not "Where I come from." It is "From where I come." But I also had English teachers who explained English is a living language that evolves with how people use it. Stick with today's rules for formal writing, mainly to show you are educated. But they also said what may be true today, may not be true tomorrow.
The reason some companies want the demographic information is because the store policy is to wear a name tag, so sometimes the employee wears any name tag, not necessarily their own.

Thank you "mystery2me." While I have remained cognizant of not terminating a sentence with a preposition, I definitely have been guilty of splitting infinitives. I simply forgot that rule of grammar.
