Martiz Gas Station Shops

Maritz has several gas station chains, as you have undoubtedly noticed, and you have to pass a test to qualify fir them. The test for the green stations is outrageous. You can't see the details in the pictures in the guide or in the test so it becomes a guessing game on which is the right answer. If I submitted pictures that bad they should reject my shop. I couldn't pass it after three tries so I called and they walked me through it and passed me. Frustrating to spend hours studying and trying to take a test that is virtually impossible to pass. I was starting to wonder if I am really getting senile.:-(
Sorry, I have been waiting for an opportunity to vent that one.
Once you get past that part, I like Maritz very much. Yes, the pay is not great. One chain they have has twenty pages of questions. Yes, 20. After a while you learn to take the required photos, take photos of every infraction, quickly review the form to make sure you covered everything and go submit. If there are few infractions I can knock one out in 20 minutes. It is the submission time that kills you. Anyone have any tips to speed that part up?
The auditors do work with you; not rude like other MSCs I could mention! When you send them an email about a problem they call you on the phone to take care of you!
Plan your route carefully, get efficient and it is at least worth doing.

There is at least one rude person in editing.

Watch the due dates for gold if you decide to do them..One week you have a 6 day starting on Sunday and the next week they will start on Monday and you have a 5 day time frame. One week they started on Saturday and there was a 7 day time frame.

Toward the end of the period they can bonus very nicely if they have to get it, They are like any other MSC when a bonus if first offered. It will not get you past the front door.

They are a good company for me anyway.
That is true, Deech. After I submitted my comment I remembered that I did tangle with one person in editing but my scheduler stepped in and calmed me down. Now if there is a problem she contacts me personally to make sure I don't walk. I like her and I think she likes me so we work together. If she needs a shop done, I try to do it for her. More MSCs should understand that is how it works. They need us and we need them.
Perhaps we should start insisting on courtesy on both sides. None of us, including the MSC people I am sure, make enough to be worth dealing with aggravation. I have already quit working with one company because of their rudeness. And, I have to admit, one company has dumped me (even though I apologized) because of my rudeness, but that is another story. Good thing there are lots of MSCs and shoppers so we can move on, but it would be so much more pleasant if we all tried to be polite and respect each other.
I can't usually talk with anyone in editing. It is a three way conversation with the person who answered the phone telling the editor what I was saying. What I got was very stinging email, about something I had never done before. I did not reply.

I don't know the schedulers any more. The ones I worked with last round I have not talked with this time. Who knows?
