SASSIE Message about E-mails

Hello and good evening. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I was checking the job boards at some of my MSCs and two SASSIE based sites had an error message saying:

"Your email address "***@gmail.com" has been placed on our "DO NOT EMAIL" list because your email provider has repeatedly rejected our emails (or has sent us a demand to stop sending you emails). As a result, you are no longer receiving shop email offers."

Did anyone else with a GMAIL account have this happen?

I just checked mine. No message. E-mail status is ON or Active.

Sometimes if I don't open e-mails for a while from a particular MSC, a message will pop up on Gmail asking if I want them to notify the sender to unsubscribe me and block them. Is it possible you may have accidentally clicked such an option and did not realize it?
metro, it could be many things. There could have been a data breach on their site (unlikely). It could be whatever anti-virus you have warning you that they don't think that website is safe (not as unlikely). Or it could mean that there is an intrusion on your personal computer (most likely).

My suggestion would be to check for virus' and malware. Do at least one full system scan. And change your passwords for everything that you used your password for on that device. And when you change them, do it on a different device, and have it sign you out on all other devices when you change it.
Morledzed suggests--My suggestion would be to check for virus'

Bob comments--I compliment you for employing the correct spelling of VIRUS'. Far too frequently, I see today's businesses misspell the plural of words ending in an S.
Hasn't this been an issue in the past and not specific to gmail? That message seems very familiar. (I'm not a gmail user.)

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
Since when has "viruses" not been correct? I would only use an apostrophe like that to show possession in a word that ends with an S, like "Tess' clothes were dirty."

I'm far from a scholar, though.

I have such issue with many sassie companies. I posted the similar note fronm them few months ago on such board.

than is has nothing to do with the virus. That is gmail issue. Unfortunately for me I am checking all sassie companiues I am a few times per day. I do not have any other suggestions.

Check your spam folder. I generally have to go in and mark safe and then add them to my address book.

For whatever reason, there are some individual e-mails from MSCs that go to spam. Other e-mails from the same MSC will go to my inbox. This has been going on for like a decade or longer.

This ain’t that.

I can’t post the picture on this forum but when I log on to a SASSIE site like that one that Starts with a JM, there is this big red rectangle with the message I listed in the OP. And my notifications for new jobs are turned off. My name and address and all of my preferences as to area codes I will shop in are still there. If it was something to do with my e-mail program or my computer, I doubt it would go “up stream” to turn off just the SASSIE based job boards. The ShopMetrics sites are not affected.

Anyway, all of the SASSIE platformed MSCs have been “repaired” to where I am set to receive shop notices again but (this was a holiday weekend I know), I haven’t received one from a SASSIE platform listing the red button drive-in burger joint shops that are still available. That seems odd to me. I can log on to the big I and assign shops still but I am not getting any push notifications on my e-mail.

You were getting a big red rectangle on the shop log (below the gray bar with your shopper ID and the number of shops you’ve done)?
Just one other quick note...

I sometimes work for the company that is SASSIE based that sends you out to not do mystery shops but to remove expired/expiring Netspend cards from discount stores. They use a mobile app.

I was assigned a “mission” as they call it. I checked to see if it was on the app and I saw it on there before Thanksgiving. I got there yesterday to do the assignment and it was gone.
I have the same issues. ISPOS Shopmetrics is ok but Sassie is not. I need to check Sassie few times per day or go to the Jobslinger board. Interesting things: I am getting emails from schedulers (Sassie platform) but not pushg notifications from the same co.

Same here (at least for one of the companies). So frustrating. I check many times a day anyway but still.
Many years ago, happened with AOL and Yahoo. That's when I switched over to Gmail but I guess no provider is safe forever.

per my understanding the mass emails (for new shops) from their server did not go though. I am receiving emails from the schedules IPSOS and Confero without any problems.

I "whitelisted" the sassieshop and the red boxes are gone. I'm back to getting 80 e-mails a day.

Yay!

Apparently what I did "wrong" was that I marked the e-mails about Jewlery Television as spam since I would get six or seven a day all at one time and only did the shop once--with what I would say an unfavorable outcome.

What is disturbing is ***climbing on the soapbox now*** is how Sassie took the supposedly bounced e-mails and decided, we'll just turn off all of his notifications for all Sassie sites. As if they were running out of room to store bounced e-mails or whatever.

Why not e-mail me (or the company that does the JTV shops) and have them contact me and see if I'm still in the game? Or maybe look at the scores of Sassie e-mails I've received successfully and decide, "yep he's legit". I am almost positive that this is an AI thing that went awry. Unfortunately I think episodes like this--where bits of evidence analyzed by a computer somewhere--are going to be the new norm.
I also did one JTV shop with miserable results, but I just set up a rule in Outlook to route those emails to the deleted file.
I haven't received a sassie-related email in a couple of months. No "accepted" emails, no job announcements, no "your job's been reviewed", nothing. It doesn't matter who the MSC is. I've checked spam filters, checked my profiles to make sure everything's correct, and I've whitelisted. I'll get shopmetrics emails, but nothing sassie. I wish I knew how to fix it.

could you please share what you did to get them back? I think I did the same when I got hundreds emails from one co.

I don't want to do a step-by-step and get it wrong so I'll just say--ask the Internet how to "whitelist" someone on G-Mail (or whatever service you have). What is involved is essentially setting up a filter to where you are white-listing the domain; not just john.doe@msc.com. You want to whitelist the entire "msc.com" if that makes any sense. I work with 3 or 4 schedulers at some of these companies--you want to open the gate for everyone.

What I also did was go through my existing spam folder and marked ANYTHING from an MSC who uses Sassie as "not spam". The next day, the red box was gone. I was so relieved.

If you read upstream from here, I mentioned the MSC who does the jewelery you can buy on TV shops. I just turned off notifications for them in my profile.
