Tips for Sonic exterior photo requirement

Any tips for getting an exterior photo of Sonic that will be approved? While they show pics for the entrée and side, I didn't see any instructions for the exterior photo. Thanks!

I take the photo from whatever part of the lot that will allow me the widest view of the restaurant regardless iof whether that includes the sign or the front. Sometimes, I'll even take it from the left turn lane as I'm waiting to pull in if I can get it without any traffic being in the picture. I've never had a shop rejected because of the exterior photo.

Edited to add: If I take the picture from the road, I make sure to crop the road out of the picture.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown

I think the exterior picture is just used to establish what time you got there. its really not an important part of the shop, and wouldn't fret about it too much!
Thank you for both replies! I really appreciate your feedback!

It doesn't have to be the front. Any side will do.
Thank you! That's really good to know that it doesn't have to be the front. Makes it easier to work with.
Thank you, ServiceAward, for this - it's great advice!
Any picture of the outside of the building will work. I usually get the picture when I first drive into the driveway or I make a loop around the building and get the pic as I go past the front back to the first side parking stalls.
Thank you, Morledzep! I appreciate your advice!
My last Sonic (that was actually a Sonic... did one Tuesday that was a vacant building that had previously housed another fast food brand) was right across the street from my hotel for the night.

Checked in, then got in the car and took the picture from across the street before heading to do a drive-in stall which turned into a drive-thru when all the screens were down.

I didn't even think to crop out the street at the bottom of the pic, but it was still accepted.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
I took one of the front showing a stall close-up, the entrance, and the signage in the window as I pulled in to the driveway and a second one of the side of the building, which showed more of it, as I was leaving. I submitted the first one because it had more detail showing. Shop was accepted with that one, but I'm guessing the other one would have been OK, too.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Best tip is, "Clean your windshield," before taking the photo smiling smiley

I do think it is used to verify the time, but I've taken on my way out and it has been approved no problem. I take my photo from either the road that comes out of the shopping center that is across from the Sonic, or I park in the shopping center lot, get out of the car and take a few steps up the embankment to get the photo. I make sure no cars are passing in front of the Sonic, but I never crop the road out of the photo. The only issue I ever had was when I forgot to take the photo. I was able to go grab the photo while I waited for the report to be returned to me.
I resubmitted and there were no issues.
I take the exterior photo on my way out most of the time.
I live where Sonic began.

Im guessing the MSC is the tacky one who canned me YRS AGO for no reason given.
I forgot to take a pic out of town once. I googled a pic...

I know of only one MSC that cans shoppers for no reason and often without notice, and it is not the one what has Sonic.

They let me slide one time but that was right after they got the account from the old MSC.

Who is it, AZ? I'm surprised it's *not* the one who has Sonic...

I forgot to take the exterior photo the last time I completed a Sonic shop, however, I did take a picture of some signage on the side of the building for a promo that ended in 2018 for .99 cent drinks. The sign was extremely faded. I only took it to send to my husband as an "lol." I used that picture as the exterior photo and the shop was accepted.
I did a shop at the very first Sonic- Stillwater. OK. It was a good one.

Top Hat, that was the name before they changed it to Sonic. If memory serves me, the Top Hat location in Shawnee was the oldest building, but it was re-branded to Sonic after the Stillwater location.

The first location was in Shawnee
I knew someone who had worked there.
I am taking pictures right from my car. It is that the instructions suggested.
