Essential Car Equipment for Shopping on the Go

I'm looking for equipment and accessories to add to my car to make shopping on the road (and in town) more efficient and convenient. For example: a power adapter for my laptop, some sort of stand or holder for my laptop to make it easier to type on. I can find all of these items on Amazon, etc., but I'm interested to hear how others have souped up their hot rods for mystery shopping.

What accessories do y'all recommend to ease life on the road?

If your car does not have a built-in fast (smart) charger for your phone, but one that plugs into your accessory outlet. There are reputable brands such as Anker that are sold on Amazon. Buy one with multiple ports. That would be my first investment if I still owned a car that did not have a fast-charging USB-C port built into it.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
A towel. Or many. For fast food shops, to protect clothes, seats and whatever from all the grease. If you do Sonics, you know what I mean. No matter what you do, it's everywhere!

Prepacked shipping boxes, plus extra shipping supplies.

A night sock. A semi-sheer black knee-high to cover my side mirror when driving long distances at night. I can still see the headlights coming up on me but they're not blinding.

LOAs for every revealed audit brand you might do.
My main thing is my car phone holder, which attaches to a vent and makes navigation easy. Next, the fast-charge USB ports that plug into the cigarette lighter. Lastly, a camera battery charger that plugs into the other cigarette lighter. That's pretty much it for me. I do reports at home or at a hotel. If I did them in the car, I would probably rely on my spare laptop battery rather than going through the trouble of wiring in an AC converter.
Definitely a towel and wipes for cleaning, as stated above, fast food shops get messy. I have the adapter charger in my car, it has multiple USB ports so I can charge a few devices.

I also have a between the seat organizer to keep pens, a notebook, etc. Helps me keep things clean and organized.
A piece of dark fabric and a level board to drape on the seat for taking photos of business cards, brochures, or food items can be helpful.
Forget cables! I like the Anker Wireless Magnetic battery pack...

Safety vest, if you don't already keep it in the car. Green audits want those name tags. I keep those in the car, too. Extra pens. I'm always dropping and/or leaving them behind. For guys over 40, a bottle to pee in. Some of those rural c-store bathrooms are far between. smiling smiley

Um, excuse me...not every guy over 40 needs to go frequently. I have complete control of my "rifle", thank you very much. It never goes off unexpectedly.

I guess I'm low-tech. I keep a bag with pens, highlighter, marker, notebook/paper, rubber bands, scissors, mini stapler, box cutter, ziploc bags, grocery bags, tape, glue stick, magnifying glass, envelopes for receipts, and probably some other junk. Extra napkins, a roll of paper towels, hand wipes, a sturdy piece of cardboard, and some binder clips...

Dang @drdoggie00! It sounds like you have an office cubicle on wheels!
There may be some truth to that statement, Hulk. -laughs-

How about a wireless charging phone mount all in one @Maverick?

Plastic bags and tote bags for carrying food into the house. Drink holder from Sonic.
In my POS Jeep at all times for mystery shopping:
LOAs and leave behinds for all of the revealed gas station audits
a multiport quick charger (3 USB and 2 Type C ports)
2 gel pens, and a handful of ball points that I can never find.
2 sharpies, different size tips.
a full change of clothes
a heavy duty plastic zipper bag with a handful of tea towels, some bandanas, handkerchiefs, and a couple of the tube things I cover my hair with.
3 traffic vests, mine, my son's, and my hoody with the reflective strips for when it's cold.
2 spare empty refillable travel bottles so I can buy soda without having to use Styrofoam, and some meal containers for the same purpose. (Styrofoam is NOT welcome in my home and this will soon be followed by most types of plastic).

When I walk out the door I take one or two 34 oz of bottles of home filtered water.
My butterfly bag with my CD's, tablet and phone/wallet and a couple extra bandanas
My purse, with two emergency flashlights, aspirin, stronger pain meds, Listerine strips and hygiene stuff, toothpicks and dental floss.

And if I'm doing gas stations that I'm allowed to buy more than one gallon of gasoline at, I carry one gas can for every 2 shops over the POS Jeep's gas tank capacity. Because we don't waste an opportunity for free or extra cheap gasoline. Right now I'm slowly replacing all of my old plastic 5 gal. gas cans with steel jerry cans (they take up less space, and they don't leak).

I prefer the Anker portable Magnetic Charger I linked. I'm not bound by a vehicle or a home and can easily carry the model I suggested with me. I take it on vacation travel too.

I think I need "stronger pain meds" just to read this list...
Are you a "prepper?" smiling smiley
Oh yeah. Pain meds. I always have a 500-count bottle of ibuprofin in my car for those long drives.
And my list of general supplies is similar to Morledzep: Hygeine, a change of clothes, hair brush (and gel,) as many gimme pens as I can get my hands on because they are alive and eventually escape, LOAs from brands I haven't done in five years, one codeine pill leftover from a dentist visit years ago I keep for emergencies, and of course toothpicks.

Something I'd add in... I have this really nifty "table" that fits on my steering wheel. I got it as a gift and I thought "I'd never use that thing". It works great for Sonic.

Just go to the 'Zon and type in Steering Wheel Desk. Not all of them fit every car so caveat empor.

mav,

the simple answer is yes. but not like the folks with years worth of the stored dehydrated foods. I'm an old woman that was raised by Great Depression survivors. I am ALWAYS prepared. Or at least know what I need to do if I get caught off guard.

I am also partially disabled and even standing is painful, and sometimes walking is more than I can do without help and good meds.
