TikTok Mystery Shopper

My issue with her is that first she is making so much of that up, but next, as a scheduler, I could end up working with some of these people she has 'trained'. New shoppers can be great, and I like it when we have them - but someone who has unrealistic expectations, makes the entire process slower. For all you good and great shoppers on here, they will make you look even better if that helps!

Ok apparently posting links to her public profiles is verboten?

I just reported her. I had to google how to report her account/videos. I am attaching the instructions. Not sure if you need an account to report, I have one.

In the TikTok app, go to the person's profile.
Tap the Share button at the top.
Tap Report.
Tap Report account.
Select a reason for the report and tap Submit.

It works with individual videos as well. I just reported each of her videos referencing her Mystery Shop Program and her account as Fraud/Scam.

If you really want to stop this scam, you should report her to Stripe. As a payment processor, they don't want to deal with a scammer because they don't want to deal with disputes and chargebacks.
This subject of this TikTok Mystery Shopper thread has gotten a good bit of our members' attention. The issue is that the references posted by this person, as well as any links posted by same poster can presumably benefit this poster financially, and this has been something that has been discouraged in the past when used by other posters. For these reasons, any and all posts from this poster have been considered as spam and have been removed. In addition, any links to any reference of this person that have been previously posted by other posters here in this thread have also been removed. We thank you for your understanding. Thank you, the Moderation Team
She has a video up now about how the mean Karens are lying about her on the forum. One of her followers told her.

Ha ha ha one of my comments made it to her fb. I think she’s on this forum. Ok Kayla, comment on here! Introduce yourself. We would love to learn more.
Gigi she was on here last night posting but has been removed. She came along to let us know that she is also a voice-over talent. Um, ok!
Oh shoot! I missed it!!! Her voice doesn’t strike me as one that would be a voice over…. But what do I know!!!
I left a message on her FB calling her a fraud as well. Perhaps we should all post links to this site saying all of her "information" and "secrets" are free here?
I left comments on her TikTok’s and she blocked me.

I saw she liked service's post. They should be proud. I personally take offense to ANY scammer. I have been scammed before, and nothing makes me angrier than scammers who want something they haven't worked hard themselves for. Bravo to everyone who has stepped in to try to stop this leech from scamming others. Maybe those individuals should know better, but... Some people just like to hear themselves talk.
Wanted to see what you were talking about but can't bring it up.
She has screenshot the fb profile of someone on this forum and posted it on her fb saying that this person is crazy. It’s apparently someone on here who has tried to warn people. I won’t put the persons name on here, but initials are NDA.
So you like fraudsters and rip-off artists who make us all look bad?

Apparently she blocked me to. Looks like anyone else with a FB account will have to keep hammering their reporting bots for the fraud she's committing.

If she was legit and really trying to promote a legetimate business, she wouldn't block other shoppers and individuals who work for MSC on her platforms. She would respond to their concerns. Shes a coward. She blocks anyone who challenges her and then screenshots and reposts. Does she realize that shes probably going to end up blocked from every mystery shop company?

Seems one of my previous posts on this thread has come to fruition.

Hi ServiceAward, she is not the target of this board, but she is the subject of this thread. Are you Kayla? If so, you have been on here for 6 months when many of us have been on here many years. We all know that the content that she is posting is fake and not a true representation of mystery shopping. This thread is a discussion of that. The comments that I made on her (your) Tiktok merely stated that this board was free and avalable to anyone who wanted to join (for free). My comments were deleted and I was blocked. Im not mad about it. I could honestly care less. I am just genuinely curious if you are Kayla Laughs Out Loud and if so, hi!
You didn't answer my question: Are you Kayla?

While I agree to some extent that she should address concerns that area raised, if people are just being rude and calling her a fraud, then I think blocking is appropriate. Your point would be well taken by me if someone said something like, "Hey Kayla, how do I know this will work? I'm concerned this may not work or this could be a gimmick. $1,000 is a lot of money to turn over." Unless I've missed something, nobody has approached it in that manner. So I can come back and say, if someone is genuinely concerned about people being taken advantage, then they would tactfully approach this and not harass. People who scream through written words do come across as crazy.

I don't think she cares if an MSC blocks her. I'm not sure if an MSC would block her. If anything, I would not be shocked if someone recruits her to help them get more shoppers, if they haven't already. We would probably never know. I think that is the crux of the issue with folks here. How many times has the topic of too many shoppers come up on this forum? The mystery shopping field for many years was - no pun intended - kind of secret. It used to be that people like me thought it was all a scam. I was stunned a decade ago when I realized I could get paid for eating and reviewing the clown fast food restaurant. Most people have no idea gas stations get audited. Nobody here, understandably, wants more shoppers in an already crowded field. I don't fault anybody for wanting to protect their turf. It is your livelihood, your bread and butter - I get that. But your ire is directed at the wrong entity. It isn't people like Kayla who are making wacky videos and selling free information. It is the MSCs who value quantity over quality.
Service, here's my problem with her and her "honey pot":

It's hugely deceptive. She posts videos of herself purportedly doing all these mystery shops, which we all have good reason to believe are phony baloney. If she wants to pull her shenanigans against the MSCs, fine - as you say, they're corporations, and they can handle their own affairs.

But what about once somebody has paid her the $1,000 and signed up with every company on her list, only to find out that her "take a video, announce they passed or failed, and receive enough money to pay your mortgage for the month" shops never existed to begin with? That wouldn't make you feel duped?

To your point about all the other people posting the same schtick: I don't use social media, so I have no clue what happens in that regard. If this hadn't been posted in the forum, I never would have known this woman existed.

I can honestly say I'd have been happier to remain blissfully unaware.

If she was genuinely interested in helping her customers succeed, she wouldn't feel threatened by them knowing this forum exists.

ETA: I just created a Facebook account. One person made a comment about how they wish they could join her program, but they don't have that kind of money to spend. Nowhere do I see where Kayla said, "All of the information is available for free online," or "You can join MysteryShopForum to receive help for free."

Zero interest in helping somebody succeed in this business. It's nothing but a deceptive money grab. Once this well runs dry for her, she'll move on to the next thing. Scammer's gonna scam, grifter's gonna grift.

Sorry, Service. You won't change my mind on this one.

ETA #2:
Person: "I just wish so badly that the program was not so expensive. It would be such a good job, it really IS a lot of money."
Kayla: "I'm so sorry, there's just a lot behind it. It took me 2 years to make this list. I lost money along the way because I fell for scams and there was no support or help. I had to hire my marketing team to help me make this program work. I also am spending so much time on this and giving individual support to everyone for a whole year. This is a lot of work and people that are helping me need to be paid as well. Not to mention the fees that go with website maintenance and all other expenses. There is nothing else out there like this. So many peoples have signed up. One has already made $900 in Orlando, FL"
My comment: "There IS something else out there like this, and it's 100% free. Unfortunately, you keep blocking anybody who posts about it. If you were truly interested in helping others succeed in this business, you wouldn't feel threatened by them knowing free help existed."

I'm sure I'll be blocked just like everybody else here.

ETA #3: Yep. As I predicted, I'm now blocked. Yay!

1. No way SA is Kayla unless she has multiple personality disorder.

2. What is your question SA? I can't find it in the logorreha.

3. Lying abour being mystery shopper isn't the issue. Annoying but whatever. The blatant grifting and fraud are.
Ok, lots here. First of all, a Cease and Desist is meaningless. I could write you such a letter right now, and...so what? Secondly, it would be logistically impossible to send such letters to people posting on this anonymous forum. Maybe, perhaps, you could get subpoena user contact data from TikTok and Facebook (which are not "Kayla's" platforms, she is merely a user) and maybe, big maybe, they would release contact info. More likely, they would point out that she is posting information in a public forum, and that its not uncommon for people to disagree with it. She wants the privilege of posting whatever she wants, same is extended to the rest of their users unless there is a very clear risk of danger or TOS violations. She monitors her accounts constantly, and blocks anyone who questions anything she does. Normally thats a massive red flag of untoward activity, but if you see it otherwise thats great. No need to debate that. In my real job, I sell software to every platform she uses, so I'm deeply familiar with how this all works.

More importantly, to be "liable" for something, there would need to be damages. This person has not been damaged or harmed in any way. She posted that she has 800 people signed up for her list and coaching, to the tune of $800K. Whether that is true or not, that is what she posted in the same public platform. If we want to extend the benefit of the doubt that everything she posts is accurate, then we'd conclude this is also accurate. She also shares in many places that she makes $50K a year as a Mystery Shopper, so a sudden windfall of $800K wouldn't be viewed reasonably as insignificant or somehow less than what her business is accustomed to generating.

Far from being damaged by the comments in this thread, she has spun this and capitalized on it, making a video claiming that "an entire forum was created just to talk about me!" That isn't factual, as this forum has been around for years and there is but one thread about her. She did take a few screenshots from this thread and posted those to the same video, pointing out that it was suggested to report her as a scam. Should we send her a Cease and Desist for posting our comments without our permission? No, because its meaningless. She conveniently left out 99% of the comments and questions leading up to that point, as again she shields her followers from anything that might question her veracity. Her followers went in to overdrive defending her and praising her and reminding her that she was the best thing to ever happen to them, so again no harm done. She's probably more popular than ever with them.

As an aside, her Facebook page declares she is a Comedian/Entertainer. Part of me wonders if this somehow was a skit that just went way too far. But thats just a musing.

As another "huh?" observation - she also states that the ONLY way to find out who the legitimate MSCs are is to buy her list - she has a few posts stating this. Is it possible there are other MSCs that not a single one of us know about who hire people to do revealed, publicized, video shops - and that these are really the only legitimate MSCs out there? Sounds improbable, but she's adamant thats what she is doing and these legitimate companies support what she is doing. Not an accusation on my part that this isn't true, a sincere "huh?"

There are MSCs aware of her actions, there are clients aware of her actions, and eventually some of these 800 people she sold her 'program' to will likely have feedback. So, agreed, time will tell.
