Ridiculous fast food shop

I saw this fast food shop. Drive thru, must buy an entree, side and drink. Must be completed within the next 6 hours, maximum questions 189. PAYS $8.
I can get a better deal using a coupon in the ads, and no report to file. Would you do ir?

These are the QSR projects. They happen every year. They are easy, but the pay is terrible and you really need to be doing them for the reimbursed fast food meal. There is one coffee chain in my area that I will do a few, mainly to get my kids some donut holes as a treat. So there you go, John, now you are up to speed! If you search for "Fast Food" you'll the other thread started about this the other day. And yes it is THIS shop. If you are really interested, this is the report that is published every year as a result of this project, which is kind of interesting

I have done many fast food shops. None have paid this cheap and wanted done this quickly. I saw the report. No fast food shop asked 189 questions and for you to time every start and stop at each point during the drive through. Has anyone done these shops for $8?

Correction, they do pay $14 for your meal. There is a 26 min training video you have to watch. I still think it's cheaper to get a 2 for 1 coupon from the paper.

To me the pay is so low, it shows you how little they think of the mystery shopper.

You don't need to watch the video, its just showing you how to do the timings. And there aren't actually 189 questions. The report is in Presto and takes maybe 5 minutes per location. But they are incredibly low paying, so by all means just pass on them. I rarely defend super low paying shops, but I think with these these are thousands and thousands of them and they all get snatched up since a full meal is included. So...people do them. But you don't have to!

The most time you'll likely spend is getting through the DT line. Some places take up to 30 minutes depending on time of day and whether anyone came to work that day. That's why I pass on them.

I actually enjoy these shops. Yes, the pay isn't great, but I get to shop some locations that don't normally get mystery shopped. And they don't take much time at all, unless you're just at a popular location (like CFA in my area). A few years ago you had to time a second vehicle going through, so thankfully that is gone.

We have them in our area. Going fast. More detailed than a regular drive through shop. Part of a 20 year study. The video guidelines run 26 minutes. Written guidelines 19 pages. Several listing the chain and what you can order. I nice selection.

I recall doing these in the past. I don't think there is any narrative. There are lots of details. Photos of menu boards, meal wrapped/unwrapped.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I just did two as a treat to myself. Both were literally right down the road, I very very rarely eat fast food (can't justify the cost and I don't like most of the food), but they came up and I thought, "Oooh. I could go for some (insert Food of Death here)". The report took, like, eight minutes to fill out. There's no narrative unless something is wrong. The most challenging part was adding the times together from shop to shop (I photo my screensaver when I pull up, hit stopwatch, and then just hit lap at each timing point). The longest drive through experience was under 4 minutes from pulling in to getting my food. Would I make a habit of them? No. Did I do them because some curly fries sounded good? Yes.
